Extradition

The purpose of this truck is to go anywhere the big bad brushless trucks can go and then get them out when they get stuck.
Using Wk axles and axial transmission, keeping her as light as possible,(to save axle shafts)Gpm 70 mm aluminum shocks, 1/8" x2" x 26" homebrew chassis. Also using the stock 5" Wk tires in the rear and 2.2 Tsl's up front for a slight Overdrive on the front.
How she sits now.

Next shock towers.

Re: Extradition

The shock towers were built then deleted, suspension is completed and trans is in. I need to make some spacers and get some longer screws to get the trans motor plate on. Chassis is being painted yellow. Body will be metallic navy blue with yellow highlights.

Took her for a spin in the living room today. Crawls good, just need to finish the cab/bed, mount them and mount the electronics. Getting excited about driving it.

Re: Extradition

Thoughts, she needs more power.
She is very stable but rear heavy, the center axle was poping in bound situations and the skid was flexing under load. She is still geared to high, motor got to the point that I couldn't hold my finger on it. ESC was hot to. In hill climbs (loose sand) the ESC shut off a few times.

She needs some improvements for sure but that is the fun, right?

Not digging my cab. I saw a Mack Terra Pro cement truck on the road, and I think I am going to copy the cab.http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/...psrlwelnfx.jpg

In other news I found some old beadlocks rings, I painted them silver, and mounted them on the axial rims

Re: Extradition

I think I stripped a gear in the middle axle on Sunday. She won't climb a hill without "popping".
Need to tear her apart clean her up and inspect the axle.
I am going to put the build on hold for a while, going to Finish the F650 and my Pig mud truck and my Cc01.
