BoyFreakWonder: Do yuo have the sizes of bearings for the gearbox and the other you may have used. My intention is to ask my supplier RCBearings in UK if he can supply even theese bearings. RCBearings I can strongly recommend. Hope for your answer Björn |

About spareparts to theese HengGuan-cars I have written to my supplier for theese cars the intenetshop Banggood.com: I also did get an asnwer saying that they will soon sell most of the spareparts that´s in the manual. I hope they will as I have the intention to build and test and compare the axles and gears on a custombuild 4x4 on an AxialSCX10-frame. The HenGuan plastic I am not so happy with. Parrallell I will build the same car as an Little longer Axial SCX10. Both cars will have the same axlelenght 313+35mm = a bit longer than standard which will give me small lorries 4x4. |

I have a question about the transmission the ring and pinion gears in it were they hardened or sintered . With this style of tranny torque twist should be very minimal

I found this thread very helpful, I have purchased this car from Banggood and are still waiting for it to arrive. Just saw that Banggood have added kit for gear change, first I wondered where I should put the shift servo but then I found a picture on internet from some other seller that sells it with the kit installed. The gearbox does have servo mount at the back, so there is no additional parts needed and the installation looks like to be very easy. So guys, is this thing worth it for around $250 to get into a 6x6? You could spend that much just getting Axial axles and wheels to start parting it out. Looks like essentially a scx10 with a plastic chassis, is the radio 3ch?

I Think it is Worth the Money. It is not bad. it is a good climer. There are some parts that is not like an Axial. The servo was broken at delivery so I have put in Another one. I have tested with other motor, dampers and so on. It seems surprisingly that it works best with original dampers, Wheels and motor.!! It is a bit slow in original compared with an Axial 27T standard equipt. I even have ordered but not got axles/ gearboxes an d some parts to build a bit longer HengGuan 4x4 as well as the same length an Axial. wheelbase 35mm + the standard Axial 313mm. Björn Sweden |

I was first thinking about building a 6x6 based on Axial axles and transmission, and HG P601 body. But when I started to calculate the cost of the build and found out that for $250 I will only get axles and transmission while purchasing it would give me a complete car instead. Nohabfsg: Have you tried to change the oil in the shocks? It sounds like earlier posts that the shock oil was too thick. |

Yes I have mounted other shocks. But the funny thing to which I still have no answer is that the chassi will twist a bit with other shocks. I have tested different shocks and have not yet found out what is best. Now I have changed back to the original - for the time being in any way.

I found a russian forum that discuss the same car, translated it with google translate and it gave me some information. But not much since the translation was horrible. HengGuan HG-P601 AMG G63 6WD - They also posted a complete spare part catalogue: http://proverka-rc.ucoz.ru/Avto/HG-P...model_cars.pdf I found some of the parts in the catalogue that banggood don't have on aliexpress, but the price seems very overpriced compared to catalogue. |

So aliexpress finally selling the axels and spare parts. $29 for a full axle not bad in my book. And all bearing sizes are in the assembly manual for those that already have the truck. Trucks been down for months. Meh didn't feel like messing with it any way for a bit. Need to make a stiffer chassis that is for sure. The plastic flexes to much.

I don know if it does, never used it. I imaging the gearing itself will hold the car especially on low. Guess what tho!?!? Bang good has metal chassis available as well as metal axle cases. I also saw a metal transmission but it's not at bang good yet. Rails ordered. Will update and should handle the flex complaints!

I got my metal chassis yesterday, they are quite heavy and feels to be very strong. I'm not quite sure what they are made off, it is not steel since they are not magnetic. I have not received the car yet, and still waiting for it, so I cannot test the metal chassis yet. |

Great to find the forum specially for this brand. I purchased mine couple weeks ago. Tested in different terrains. The car works ok, but some issues need to be cleared. 1st, the car runs faster forward than reverse. I've swap the 2 cables from Esc to motor, changed the esc, changed the motor, changed the receiver and transmitter, but the result is still the same. I've read in a forum that switching ring gear might be another answer, but i'm confused with the statement as the HG axles are different. Anyone got some ideas? 2nd, the steering ratio seems need to be improved. Any ideas to do so? Appreciate for any help and comment, guys! |
