Give me real reviews, from real owners, exceed mad torque 6x6

Hi guys,
I don't wanna know what you have heard or read or heard from your buddy..
Looking for a truthful review and pictures from actual current owners of the mad torque 6x6...I just wanna run through puddles, climb around and just have a good time,I'm think the $300 price tag would be perfect for fun, I have serious rigs but I don't expect that from this....also does anyone have any experiNce with any other 6x6 trucks under $400(no I don't wanna save for a better one I want a cheap beater) I also will only buy if it's in the USA, no weird sites or eBay etc
Where can I buy spare mad torque 6x6 parts if I buy it?

I have an exceed 6x6. I got it from a friend in trade. Truthfully I got it to use in resell or trade...never planned to keep it. A few friends were going out trailing and wanted me to tag along but my rig was down so I grabbed this off the shelf and took it with me. Expected to be disappointed and break it quickly...Was I ever wrong. Took it on some huge obsticles even for this thing since it's huge and it surprisingly did very well. The only thing not waterproof is the servo. So it only went through shallow water. There are a few negatives on this rig for sure. The chassis personally is lame..just 2 mad torque chassis bolted together but works. The shocks are pretty stiff even for the weight of this rig. The y link mounts hold up well on the rear 2 axles but I broke the front one( from carrying it by the front axle not from running. Easy fix I just drilled the mount and used a traxxas rod end standing up. Been holding up very well since). Other than that it's a fun rig to play with. Even all stock. In fact I am no longer getting rid of it. It's now going to get some mods. I'm gonna use wraith shocks since they're softer, waterproof servo, I'm planning to make a custom chassis with custom fitted body and....Well even it's done it'll be on the forum(might be this winter tho). Hope this helps. Lmk if ya wanna know anything else

Also any mad torque part will fit the 6x6 since all it is is a mad torque with another half a mad torque. nitro rcx, eBay and other sites stock parts. Obviously electronics you can fit from a wide range of anything, the wheels are 2.8 wheels so that's the size tires you'll need of you wanna swap them(all that I've found are smaller dia than stock), axial scx knuckles fit these axles if you want to upgrade them, any other mods and other brands parts compatibility just do some searching on the 1/8 mad torque

I like mine! Doing mods for an fpv / S&R style and the most I have spent is adding the 6ws (although the I did have a EZUHF & 1.3ghz 800mw vtx laying around).

So far I have lubed the gearboxes properly w lithium grease, added the 6ws, changed the tire foam to memory foam, siped my tires, added weights to front wheels, EZUHF 4ch rx (soon to be 8ch), and fpv gear...also have a 2s 6000mAh lipo en route....building a pan/tilt now too. Btw, using a JR XP9303 for control with a EZUHF module.

Have to say this baby is a beast. I even drove my 25lbs girl on the back of it with a seat I made just to see how much power it really had. [emoji12]

Here it is in my yard just for a flex test. Now grips everything it seems.

Making skid plates now....

First one done...only 2 to go...till tomorrow. Also added plastic conduit to protect the rods (thanks MassiveOverkill for the idea).

Did a little work on the tires. Changed foams because the ones I put in it really let the sidewalks fold a little too much and turning was tough, so..

Trying 2 layers. Thin egg crate style foam I had from and old case and recut some memory foam (wider & longer l) to fill the tire more.

Tires feel a lot better now. Tires before on left, after on right.

So here it is as it stands now...I cut the shell to allow space for the pan/tilt...not a huge fan of this shell, but can't find anything that works. As I said before...I am not spending anything on this build besides the pan/tilt system so what I find around the house has been working well so far. Also with no tools to bend or cut new parts. Is hard to improve much farther. Any ideas are welcome! :)

Wish they had stats on these escs cause I would love to try out a 3s lipo, but without knowing the max input voltage, I'm settling on a 2S 6000mAh 50C Zippy hard case lipo. So far running about 45 mins with 5 servos (3- stock, 2- Hitek hS-645MG) and 3 stock motors. Running a CC 10A Ubec too.

May need to upgrade my stock steering servo on my front wheels...with the added weight it's hard to turn at tight angles.

Did get the other 2 skid plates done last night:

Man o man! I took it up and thru some steep spots and it still didn't roll over...even with the added (almost 1lb) of gear on top. Also the new foams reduced body roll to almost zero while still gripping at wet tree roots which I thought would be too slick to go up (45 degrees at least) but nope. Think siping the tires really helped.

Sadly my GoPro stopped recording cause I forgot to set it to max record. It stopped at 10 mins (I went for about 20 total) I'll get more footage soon...and the lipo wasn't even half way down... ;)

Thanks Josh! Removing some of the terrible graffix stickers helps. Also dropped the body about an inch, it sits just mm's above the frame. Lol...I just added some more lights to see rear tire placement at night, and a 3 camera switch. Waiting on the last camera to come. It's a night camera with 00001 lux (yes that's 4 zeros) so I should be able to see at night with no lights (or IR) at all. :)

My GS has diversity (dual RMRC rx's with saw filters) and a 5.8 600mw repeater so I can be some distance away...like inside where it's warm. I'll post more pics soon and hopefully some video tomorrow if the weather is nice.
