Great pics. How did the carrier bearing and rear driveshaft hold up to the drive?

God is love

No problem so far, and I did some pretty hard driving !
It just bend a bit, but better bend than break

Yop,

News!
Fenders are fixed, just need to cut the rears

Went to CMS ! I've been thinking about it for a long time, and finally did it.
Why ? My steering links were hitting the chassis, so I had to move back my front axle. New problem: the servo hit the transmission
So after a few drill, here's the CMS ! Still need a bit of tuning to reduce bump steer

Definitely watching this.
I have alot to learn, but I am considering turning my SCX into a 6x6 and then getting the SCX10.2 kit to replace the 4x4...
Great work so far! Thing looks like a lot of fun.

Yop,

Here's the "progress" of the last weeks

The whole body has been primered to see defaults, and oohh boooyy there's a lot

The grille is back into place, I just need to make a better "separation line", no idea with what tool

I've started the hood (as always, I've tried doing something clean with styrene, and it ended full of putty...)

And I've tried some 3d printed hinge for the tonneau cover, seems to be good, it just need another fixation than double sided tape

Received my Holmes saturday, damn it's smooth as hell !

Sunday I was at a modeling show with members of a french forum, a lot of fun and I was really happy with how the truck performed

The Capo importer was here with a Tatra, 2 Jeeps and a Ace 1, these things are hella sweet !

Yop,

It's wiring time That was a mess under the body so I had to do something
In the same time I went back to a full size servo for the 2 speed, and mounted the winch

Styren box to hide the receiver and winch controller (a servo board)

Now there's 3 switches at the back of the track:
-ESC On/Off
-Receiver bind as my radio have no memory (DX3E)
-Switch between gearbox servo and winch because I only have 3 channel

Yop,

Here's the final truck
I finally did somthing simple, I had some problem making it like the Hellhog (hard to find bedliner for cheap here, wasn't able to weld correctly the cage, the hood wasn't convicing...)
But I'm happy with how it looks now !

Did a few mods since last update:
-swap short Axial spring on the cantilver shocks, making it almost full droop
-added some +10mm hex on each side, mostly for the look

The truck was working well, my main issues were turns And the huge axle pumpkins with small tires made the rocky section quite hard

Less talking, more pictures

Of course it's not a real trail if you don't broke something
The driveshaft between gearbox and transfer case twisted and broke, despite it's the only metal one

(also broke a driveshaft on my short course the same day)

I got a camera not long ago, so here's some test I did with the 6x6 (with my old caravan hooked up behind)

Testing new setups to allow for 6ws, I think this one's the good one

I will do something clean for the servo mount later, it was just a mock up. Servo is very close to the grill but it fits

I'll need a new bumper with rc4wd style mounts

I should be able to get parts after Christmas, because I'm tired of this ship turning radius

Hi,
This thread isn't up to date !
Here's what the Jeep looks like now, doing some work last week end at the meet.

Color was made with a black backing, few coats of red and a very light coat of metallic red.

Chassis now have rear steering, made with Chinese knuckles/c-hub and a shitty servo I stole from my other trucks

On the top of the mine dump, I had to carry it by hand on the last meters due to broken driveshafts

Got the caravan out the 2nd day, it didn't spend much time on its wheels tho...

Considering the amount of wear and low quality parts on the chassis, I'm thinking of doing a complete rebuild, more performance oriented and maybe a bit more extreme (bigger tires, brushless...) Wallet will tell if this happens
