Are you going to run those shocks, or a shorter set? seems a tad high.

| What am i getting myself into..too late
well decided to take the Bruder apart so that i could paint the interior and motor and what ever else needs to be painted... it took me like 1/2 hr just to take one smoke stack off and ended up breaking one clip on both of them the rest should click right back together..if there's any body that want to take these thinks apart good luck..lol.. great tool to get around corners.... |

You know they build them so 6-10 yr olds can't take them apart and swallow the little pieces. Unfortunately, if you had given it to your kid or the neighbors they would have had it apart faster than you |

Ya really.... they would have gotten so frustrated they end smashing it up just to get it to come apart..but all is good and the parts are painted up and ready to be put back together.. But on a side note, well built.. |

Well finally got her all painted and put back together,a little better then just tan plastic.it's not the best job but from far away you won't even see the flaws. Last edited by rustneversleeps; 11-04-2016 at 08:34 PM. |

Ok been kinda slow going ,trying different ways on how to go about this so dump truck and salt truck,GONE.So for now the easiest and most common one to build is the rollback... this is how far my progress is.. I cut these on a 90* angle but didn't bend they way i wanted and once together it didn;t look right so I ended up cutting the rear part of the rollback sqaure looks better... I decided to use scale bolts to attach the bottom rail for the rollback but after the fifth bolt my 3mm socket crack so i had to improvise and decided to make one.... parts i need.... rails are on.. so this how she looks so far need to find a little man to drive this thing and roll and a few other things... |

thanks man i try to do the the best i can.it was a little tricky at first but leaving it sit for a day or so just cleans the head for other ideas.Still have to find a place for the battery and for the electronics and some side panels to hide the motor and other things.. |

well still hacking away at this .I had a spare shock strut that came from my BMW convertible top boot cover it wasn't any good but good enough for this application compressed 4'' extended is 9 1/2''.. I also made up the battery tray right behind the cab. made up a center brace. made threads on a aluminum channel and attach to the rollback.. I needed a driver who else but Hans Solo decided to be my driver hes about 4'' tall... Here i started the battery tray all i used was some used alluminum L shaped brackets from old windows works great.. So needed to make room for the electronics so again used the l shaped aluminum...drilled a couple of holes cut to size and electronic tray is done... so that it for now till next time... Sooooooo where was i ,oh ya electronics... What you see in the pics is the stuff going in ,nothing to fancy more or less stuff i had lying around, like fairly old motor it's a kyosho ST 360 motor, tamiya TBLE-02s Brushless - Sensored or Brushed Capable, can either go brushless or brushed, multiple choices.New XT60-L new design no need for shrink tube, old school RX Spektrum SR3000.I didn't bother to waterproof anything cause i don't plan on submerging my Mack Attack hopefully most of the groments and wire looms and a little die-electric grease will at lease prevent the water from getting in the tool box that will house the electric stuff.. On with the show this is it..... Made up some CB antennas and made some side skirts for underneath the Cab.. made up l brackets to hold the cab up front.... I needed a ramp so fab up this..... So was going to wait to post but i'll do it now.. Time for paint and assembly just your basic fastkoat black and Make It Stone Krylon paint to give it the rough look.... Also trimmed some of the aluminum and soften up the edges a bit. here all it is all put together... i decided to take this apart so it would be a much smaller hole in the tool box... Here I'll be making a bracket to hold my ramp.. brackets looks like ladders and there your ay your hardware store in the shelving Dept... OK now there you have it and almost done this thing NOT lol... Will keep you updated..... Have a Happy Holiday..Peace. |

I needed to make some sort of clip, strap, hold down what ever you call it to hold the other part of the ramp when in it's storage state...So like most of us do and i keep saying this that i stole from some one on here... "Eye Ball Engineering" skills a fab up a simple solution... Pics will explain everything..... now the last thing to do is fab up some sort of track system to hold down the roll back so it doesn't pop off and some decals...... I think i have a great idea...stay tune... |

Merry Christmas every body.. |
