Will be functional.

Testing out prototype BowHouse RC #nc60xr axles. A lot of thought into these axle housings. These are the metal infused print from shapeways. XR wide width. Pass through for the 6x6 setup too. Integrated bearing caps on diff cover, 8x13 pinion bearings, splined ends..

I had heard about that but was too lazy to try it, so I drove 2 hours, round trip, to buy an $8 bender.

Super rough mock up of the 4-link walking beam contraption thingy.
Still work to be done and things to change, so just hold tight, it aint all sorted out.

Should work fine, once I externally and internally limit the shocks. I'll be redoing the suspension link chassis mounting points to move it closer to the axle setup. Suspension link lengths are too long and I am getting some side to side movement but I think with some shorter links, it will be fine.

1/2" Tube with axle mounts/truss
3/8" tube acts as the pivot shaft. Axle comes all the way out. Need to make "keeper" plates to hold it in place on ends.
1/2" tube mounts on beams.

Realllly interested in those metal printed axles, as far as quality/fitment goes. Without being nosy, was the pricing somewhat reasonable?

Setup is now a 5-link. Added a panhard bar to the mix that does not mess with suspension movement. Pictures after I finish welding and prime everything.

The axles are very similar to the SCX-width NC60s that are currently available through the BowHouse Shapeways store. Pricing will be slightly higher than the SCX-width version due to slightly larger size. We'll announce everything in a few weeks. And thanks to Shane for being the Guinea pig!
