Default New project started

I decided I needed a tow rig for my son and I. Our backyard backs a national forest so there are plenty of places to go, but my crawler needs full throttle in second gear to almost keep walking pace.

So I am building a 1/10 M934. Im taking the lazy way and printing the body. It is currently being glued together since my printer only has a 6" table. It will have ar60 axles and 2.2 rims. 35 inches long. Not sure on trans yet, I may remove the R3 two speed from my scx and put it into the M934. Then put the SSD two speed in the scx to get a little more travel out of the front end. That R3 is huge to fit a tamiya jeep body.

The fuel tanks will each hold three 7.4 2200mAh batteries.

I like your style. I'm thinking the next build I do is going to be a big rig hauler for my 1.55 truck so I cannot get to the good crawling spots that it may not Ben able to get to. Keep us updated!

Little size comparison. Bottom of the cab is nearly as high as the top of the grill.

So what do you guys think?SCX width axles

Or AR60 width?

Or somewhere in between?

Looks good. I say if your hauling a 1.55 scaler scx10 axles will look right. If you were putting say an scx10 or wraith it would look weird and would def need a wider stance. I need to get a 3d printer, I'm scratch building a kamaz. A lot of work. Good luck with it

Cleavland. Not really a forest, more of a desert. We are still a few miles from the actual "national forest" but its the same mountain range to my back yard.

Took the jeep out today. Nothing major broken so it was able to drive home. This area is hell on parts. Alot of concrete, overhangs, rocks, just a huge boulder pile of hub snappers and axle twisters.

I like your Jeep. The truck is coming along nicely too. I saw on your jeep that you must have your steering servo installed under the body. The pivot you have on the frame rail up front, is that a home made piece or something you can buy? I may need that exact piece on the build I'm in the process of doing, and would like a better picture of it or description of it. Is there a bearing or bushing in there at the pivot, or does it just sandwich the shaft between the frame and the U shaped clamp? Thanks

The tamiya high lift uses a bell crank steering like that. They were made in plastic and a few companies like rc4wd and hot racing made aluminum ones but I'm not sure what you can still buy.Hot Racing Tamiya Hi-Lift - F350 Tundra HiLux RC Car upgrades and Hop-ups
