NIce body choice. Now you still need some bigger tyres in my opinon.

I think the 1.9s are as big as I want to go...the falken wildpeak m/t tires are great on this rig, they are the perfect size for what I want, I did think the 1.55 tires were a bit small but the flat iron XL's I had and the pitbull rockbeast XL's were too big. The axial falken wildpeak m/t's are perfect! I ordered 2 more wildpeaks, gmade steel beadlocks and CI lil nova foams to match the 4 I already have. Hopefully they will get here by next monday!

ok, I stained the wood bed to see if this is the way I want to go and I think it is. I have more to add to the bed but that will have to wait for awhile, just dropped 2,000 bucks to start our new home engineered plans so we can get to building it. I have 2 more wildpeak tires and gmade steel beadlocks and CI lil nova foams already enroute"thumbsup"

Thanks Ty, I bought some brass strips to put around the edge of the bed for a rub rail...

I got my other two wheels and tires, the only issue I have is the scale hardware for the new wheels. The other four dont have scale hardware. I put the new ones on the front because when I used to work on trucks like these, many times there would be the chrome acorn style wheel hardware on the front and black hardware on the rears. I also put on an axial aluminum clamping servo horn.

The foams I used in the front tires dont match the rears, I went with 4.75 inners and medium outer foams. This seems much firmer than the rears and I now remember that I used 4.50 inners and medium foams so after running it awhile and breaking them in I may change them to the 4.50 set.

The next thing is to do the narrow XR Mod on the front axle, it turns pretty decent considering its a 6x6 but it can be better I think.

Until I do the XR Mod, I will be putting head lights on the front for a more scale appearance the large wraith light buckets are what I will be using..

ok, now I have my head lights on, these work out very well with this body style. although they are not exactly mounted in the same manner as the real ones, they look good. I use plastic spacers that I grind to an angle on each top side so they fit like a glove in the body groove between the fenders and the hood.

then I wired them up and routed the wiring through the innermost part of the fender for a nice clean look..the lights are connected to the ESC plug so I have 3s voltage at the LED's. They are pretty bright considering what they are.

I dont like the light grills on this application because I think it make it look too much like a military truck...

kinda wondering what kind of load to put on the bed, thinking about doing the rig as a lumber delivery truck...maybe some scale lumber would be the right load...

I put the brass rub rail on the bed today... was quick to solder up and used E6000 to glue it on. Looks pretty good for a first prototype.

got three more made, soon as they are dry I will trim them up. Its going to take some time to make enough of these to look right on the truck and then figure out a way to make a way to hold them down.

I dont want to just glue them to the bed, I would rather make a scaled down way to hold them. I will probably glue them together but use a small chain or strand of twine to hold them to the bed, try to find some small eyelets to screw into the bed to run the twine thru as well..
