With the radio here things are starting to come together quickly.

Here is Opti-beast Prime's brain. It starts out with a project that will be completely water proof. Inside is a 6 channel flysky receiver and a bec set to 7.4v.

Each channel has its own jumper wires that run through a rubber gasket which while be sealed with liquid tape.

Starting from the right going to the left:

3s in to feed the bec
Ch 4 out- servo to actuate voice box
Ch 1 out 7.4v from bec
Ch 2 in- esc
Ch 3 out- transmission shifter.
Ch 5 out-gun turret
Steering wheel out 6.0v plus channel 1signal
Ch 6 out- future winch
3s out to feed rock lights
6.0v out to feed headlights and tail lights.

Every thing is designed to keep the box sealed unless the bec or receiver goes.

Opti-beast Prime is ready for Crawtoberfest.....
My son put a lot of hours into this rig and his grades have greatly approved. So me and mom decided that we will let him run it for Crawltoberfest and then park it until he completes his side of the deal.

All that is left is a shake down run but that will have to wait till this weekend.

Now that it is done, i have to say as nice as the parts look the metal used is just crap. Hardware is soft, many threads that needed to be tapped. Missing pieces, a broken shock as well as a few other issues. If i bought this truck as a ready to run i would have returned it immediately.

But it done and the kid loves it.

Hell yeah brother. Great job on the build! All the details are great.

Can you slow the speed of Ch5 and slow the turret spin?

I’ve been considering picking up a beast. Any suggestions? Things I should replace right away.

We haven't put it through its paces very hard yet, meaning I let him use it as a trail truck and not doing allot of rocks. He wants to keep clean looking tile the recon.

However the rear drive shaft is so short it will pop out. It needs a limiting strap or something.

Shocks springs are super stiff, and could really be lighted up.

I hate the truck my kid loves it. It is fun, but it is so big and heavy I am always dreading it taking a tumble.
