Default Got a UMG10 6x6 on the way, tell me about it!

So I had planned on buying a shelf model from my LHS but it got sold a day before I went in to get it, after I discovered it was discontinued. Sad face.

I was able to get one online, it’s been a want for a while but I’ve heard bits and bobs that it “sucks” (don’t care, I like it)

I had a silver honcho back in the day and loved it, and wanted a 10.2 and was looking for the right version when all this unfolded.

I’ve not really been able to do my normal “research” on Rc, so I’m asking y’all: what do I need to know about the UMG? I have the usual axial expectations with a dash of “novelty Rc” mixed in (shitty shocks, questionable electronics, meh tires, extra flexi chassis)

Thanks y’all

Nick Aase MOFO Rc divorce transmission, add some bracing to the chassis and throw your own touches at it. I’m not on social media, but if you are.. there’s a FB page dedicated to the umg10 and 6x6. I drove mine a total of 2 times before doing a complete new build. Look around here, there’s some cool builds and good info. Rc issues full brass link kit for under $70 is hard to beat. Looking forward to see what you do with it, and congrats on the buy

The chassis is like spaghetti out back... I bought the chassis extension for my 6x6 and while I don't mind a little flex in the chassis, that was too much. I braced mine and now it's rock solid.

Welcome to the 6x6 club! They are a ton of fun.

First thing is just have fun with it.
Second, drive it, break it, upgrade it, and have more fun along the way.

That’s the overall plan! Just didn’t know if there were any out of the box issues I should worry about
