Default HEMTT or similar body recommendations

I'm starting a new build and I'm looking at bodies. I'm not really up for building something from scratch. I've been searching around and found one body on ebay that looks ok but I was hoping for some more options. I'd love to get my hands on a capo tatra body or something similar. I like the idea of a metal body but I'm sure those are hard to come by.

All input is welcome.

Funny. Never even crossed my mind to contact them directly. I hate when the simple solution is right in front of me.

I'll give that a try but I'm still open to other options people have come across.

My Internet mojo is pretty weak today. Can't find any contact info. All paths lead me to a french site that is under construction. Maybe I need to sleep on it

Here is the 8x8 body. It’s what I started with for my mk48 build

I have seen your rig and it is nice. I'm looking at that same cab for my 10x10 build.

I may be in need some measurements on the cab. Hope some of you can lend a hand.

The body in the link measured out to roughly 10.6:1 to 11:1 based on comparison with the 1:1 I measured. I can take measurements from my cab and you can math them whatever direction you want. I can also measure the 1:1, it’s about 30 minutes from my house

the fact you have access to the 1:1 is nice. years ago we had one in the shop attached to the back of our build. too back i wasn't into scale rc at that time.

i'll try to take a pic and mark it up with the measurements i'm most interested in but here is my attempt at describing them. I'm just interested in the cab because i'm going to be making a customer rollback flatbed.

full cab length (front of skid to back of engine compartment)
full cab width (door to door)
cab length (front skid to front of fenders)
cab height (at the doors)
cab height above fenders (i.e. the engine compartment height)
engine compartment width

I’m working with the mk48 instead of a hemtt, which moves stuff all around to get the fuel tanks on top of the fenders instead of on the belly but I’ll measure what I can.
Cab length overall: on the original body I think something like 11.5”. My mk48 is about 13.75”
Cab width: without mirrors 8.75” the 1:1 is 96”
Cabin length: the body kit is 5.75” from front bumper to back of cab, 5.15” from front of cab to back of cab. The kit differs from the mk48 because there is a cab extension that goes on to the flat of the fender. The real cab ends at the 45° part of the fender. That length from front of cab is 4.3”
Cabin height from roof peak to floor board is 6” the step is almost 7” and the front bumper bottom is 6.75”from the roof
Engine cover height: from fender is 4”
Flat part of fender: 8.5” long
Angled parts of fender: 2” long
Engine cover width: 4.75”
Front of truck:the bottom angle is 45° and 2.375”, the vertical is 1.25”, the windshield is about 60° and 3.25”

Thanks for the info. This will be very helpful for me to start mocking things up.
