Of course there were issues. Mainly the leaf springs did not hold up to the test. I am not running a full set of leaf springs but the net time I go out it will have a full self on all 8 wheels. The torque was too much for them to handle... here's what happened:







Hopefully this won't happen again!

Possible consider using this method of mounting tandem leaf springs?

I just had some axle wrap issues with my tiny tire truck and ended up putting a leaf on top of the whole stack of leafs like so



the top leaf does nothing for the spring rate it just helps to prevent the top most spring from getting wrapped/S shaped.

This worked good with my little truck but with this 8X8 it may be a different story.

Or a zip tie or something to tie the leafs together should also help but it will stiffen up the spring rate.

Thanks for that .. something to think about and try. I have a complete net set of springs on the way and until then will try anything. I was contemplating a link from the top of the axle housing to the chassis somewhere to stop it from wrapping!
