| 6x6 I've had in the works for a while.
I've been wanting to do a build like this for the better part of a decade, and I've finally got something to show for it. It's got independent rear steering and the 4 sets sets of duallies in the back provide gobs of grip. When using the rear wheel steering, the turning radius is incredibly tight for a vehicle of this size. I was shocked. I just finished printing out a bed I designed. I'm at the fun part of the build now, the cosmetics. I'll be 3D printing everything. I've been going back and fourth with a few themes. I want it to be unique, but at the same time I want it to be grounded in reality. I'm thinking it's a vehicle from maybe a few decades in the future that's tasked with going around and rounding up a bunch of rogue AI robots that have started to challenge humanity (think iRobot). The plan is to have a bunch of captive bots in cages, and a bunch of other ones shot to hell and smashed apart piled up in a bin (this may also double as the battery compartment). These are most likely going to be the robots I go with, and they'll all be different colors. I may or may not incorporate a crane/hoist (non-functioning) that'd be used to get the cages onto the bed. Thanks! Stock gen1 SCX10 ESC and a 45T Integy lathe motor. The ESC that's in there is a freaking unicorn, man. It's coming over the the SCX10 C/R Edition that this started as. It's done over 500 real world miles and has been completely submerged in water more times than I can count. I'm running that thing until it cooks. | |
