That trans is pretty trick. Is it just the input shaft bearing pockets that have a little extra play in them? Who printed the parts?

Yea the input and the output bearing pockets. I had Soze print them for me when I bought his chassis brace, but I sent him the file from thingiverse. It’s nothing he did, I just asked as a favor. I reached out to MOFO Rc to see if he will sell me a case, then I’ll go from there. It still needs some work but I was getting anxious to get it together and see what changes really needed to happen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got you. So it looks like it’s basic axial 3 gear internals, but with an extra set of out drive stubs and gear? Really smart thinking on somebodies part.

Got back to finishing this thing up, still needs some tweaks but it’s ready for its first trip! Whenever that might be.. shortened up the steering link, now I have full throw both directions. Got the body trimmed up and mounted also. I’m still not fully satisfied with the transmission case. I can’t get a response from the creator to get one from him so I sanded the case halves a little bit. Have less movement of the input shaft but still have some.. more than I’m happy with. All in all I’m stoked with this build and cannot wait to go hit the rocks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Driveshafts galore! Looks badass. Besides Wednesday it’s looking like rain for the rest of the month. I’m going to try to hit NW Hobbies this coming weekend I think. |

Haha yea man. Who knows, I may go back to the stock setup if this thing starts chewing up parts. If so I’ll order some upgraded gears. Yea my forecast looks the same up here. Yea let me know if you do, I’ll see if I can make the trip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lmao! I almost did last week. I’ve got plans for different wheels is partly why I haven’t. $75 for all 6 I think? Then I’ll be throwing some g8 Krawlers on it likely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sweet build Fricker. The divorced transfer case is cool. Is it designed to provide better gearing? I really like the modified chassis, I gather it is a lot stiffer now? Your build is giving me the 6x6 itch again |

Thanks man! I’ve been inspired by a lot of people on here so I hope to do the same. The divorced trans is to ditch the pass-thru for the center axle. I never had a clicking issue but my worry was it chewing up ring gears... I guess both are bound to happen.. The chassis is much stiffer, although after adding Soze’s brace to the factory chassis that was a lot stiffer also. I’ve got my stock chassis laying around, debating on selling it or stripping down my other 10.2 build picking up another axle and building it as a loaner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking awesome! Those wheels look sweet too, I almost bought the same ones a while back but kept what I had on my other 6x6. Can't wait to see some video of it out on the trail!!! |

Let me re-print some of those parts. And see if it's an issue with the print or the file. I just bought some of the parts MofoRC recommended to get for the prints (he basically just used a bunch of bearings, and generic SCX10 gear sets off of Amazon), so I'll see if I run into the same issue. Was it just the transmission case? Might be a good project for me to re-do if it's the design. Otherwise I can re-print it for you if I don't run into the same issues with my re-print.

Hey man, that would be great. I’m not super concerned about it right now as the weather won’t permit me going out for a while. I did make sure I used all the correct bearing sizes, all from axial and I bought the axial output gear set and outputs themselves. It’s been a week since I wrote him with no reply, I’m sure he’s busy but I also wanted to know what gears to use for the reverse carrier because I’d like to go high pinion in the back. Either way, if you’re going to try the setup on your rig I say go for that first and we can go from there. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got to run the 6x yesterday, put it on the indoor course but it was slightly large for that lol! Ended up at Lebanon dam afterwards and had a pretty good time. Interesting to run this thing next to my buddies trx4 that is pretty modded to see what lines it makes look easy and vise versa. New tires showed up today, prolines out of stock so I went with landmines. Hope they work out and I’ll be ordering some wheels shortly.. decided to go with some different ones than previously posted. Enough rambling here’s some pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks for letting me check this thing out in person! Looks like a fun rig. Look forward to seeing the new wheels and tires on it.

Awesome, some action shots in the wild. Look like a sweet crawl spot. How did you like the performance vs when you had it stock? |
