1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) Sharing my new build... I know there has already been so many builds for this truck but i just like it so much that I want to build one myself...in 10th scale. Rolling chassis is done... 1st and 4th axle steering...8x8 drivetrain https://i.ibb.co/sKgRMYy/20220228-220603.jpg https://i.ibb.co/QpRXZTt/20220222-021005.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Mhnjb9j/20220228-220555.jpg https://i.ibb.co/VDW0V5q/20220220-122150.jpg https://i.ibb.co/TvJmYM1/20220220-122046.jpg https://i.ibb.co/3WQGyDm/20220220-115744.jpg https://i.ibb.co/6PY71fY/20220220-115649.jpg https://i.ibb.co/L6MBTzs/20220222-021013.jpg https://i.ibb.co/pK3LvQf/20220220-122245.jpg https://i.ibb.co/gwyzVTL/20220220-122215.jpg |

Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) Thank you sir SMC-93...only problem i have now is finding a gearmotor combo that can handle those 8 wheels...im thinking of a RS775 motor-planetary gear combo...and maybe a 120amp esc....parallel 5200mAH lipo at 7.4 v...gotta do some more research. |

Maybe the motor/trans combo used in the Tamiya or Lesu 1:14 semis? I know they're a smaller scale than your Oshkosh will be but they always seem to be able to move a lot of weight without much issue. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

That Tatra has the proper scale drivetrain and suspension, just apply half-shafts and shocks. (And screws, bearings, tires etc.) Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) Build update, hood is done and installed... https://i.ibb.co/F6pKLZJ/20220327-195816.jpg https://i.ibb.co/QCX4Ffg/20220327-195827.jpg https://i.ibb.co/tqrSNbr/20220327-195833.jpg https://i.ibb.co/2PJSFmq/20220327-200057.jpg |
Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) Another awesome build man "thumbsup" |
Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) Is the transmission out of a power drill? I think I recognize the torque selector from a drill chuck Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

It even has the little drill bit insignia for locking it in drill mode, without the clutch. |
Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) It is a used Black and Decker Cordless Drill, 9.6V.... I thought it could drill through steel so it should be able to drive 8 wheels and pull a flatbed trailer.... cant find a better gearbox for a 10th scale 8x8 (most i see are small)... and tamiya's are way too expensive... so i decided to give this a try. |

I'm going to have to try that when I get around to printing/building one these massive trucks. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

I still need to get a computer that can effectively run Fusion360 so I can figure out how to design things like that. I just can't wrap my head around the complexity of F-360 when I'm stuck waiting on my laptop to process things. My CAD skills/knowledge are still super basic. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |

Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) Pretty impressive! |
Re: 1/10 Oshkosh M1070 A0 (3D Printed/Scratchbuilt) That "engine" cover is sweet! I remember seeing one of the multifuel engines they had in those iirc, it was huge. SMC-93 check onshape, an online 3d CAD system that's similar to F360. Not sure that requires processing power. |

I'll have to look into Onshape Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk |
