Looking snazzy so far, don't forget to ventilate the area.

So... Doug or Chappy?

Uhhhh... you guys lost me...

I got more done... the lower bar is going to have to be re-done, it's to short in the front.

Also, the rear-most cross-bar is going to have to move. The rear shocks will be mounted in-board of the chassis and that bar is in the way.

I'm working out a deal to trade my WK axles for Axials. The WK's are just too wide. So the shock mount and link-mount positioning will have to wait until I get them. (IF I get them)

Still a LOT of work to do...

Sorry for the crummy pic, I took it with my office camera.

EDIT: I work with a paint-respirator mask on for this stuff, and I've been working on it outside. I've had galv poisoning before.... not fun. I know the respirator isn't right for that stuff, but it HAS to help SOME, is my reasoning.

They're talking about the movie Iron Eagle (the name you quoted for this build) just google it . . .

Looks like you're having fun. So is this going to be a rebuild of the Gremmie, or an additional truck?

ohhhh... *smacks forehead* DUH!

This will be a second truck. The gremmie's never coming apart. I'm going to make sure it runs FOREVER!!!! The gremmie is cool and all but I am SICK of having to fight it through places.

BTW, I have your gears, I even took them to Omaha for the GTG.... and then when you weren't there I forgot all about them. :-( I was gonna just leave 'em at Gerame's shop for you... but well, I started having fun.. and... Jesse brought in the CR-01 and we were all thrashin' trying to get it together.

I'm glad to hear that you're keeping the Gremlin!

No problem. I just wish I could have made the GTG. It would be nice to see how my truck and driving to compares to others.

I figured you to be old enough to remember those flicks!

Oh, don't braze any small/short pieces in completely if you have to braze another bar to it. They make a big pop when the explode from the pressure buildup, ended up costing me a new pair of undies. If you have to, drill a small hole in the tubing to vent the pressure.

Oh, I remember them, but I wasn't really thinking of that when I came up with the name. It just came from the fact that I showed it to a friend of mine and he said it "looked like a giant eagle's head."

And I learned about the whole popping thing last night. I never even thought of that 'till it happened. Then all of a sudden *BANG* I get hot molten metal flying at my face.

I got out of the way in time, but it still sucked.

I'm calling it pretty much done. Here's what I've got now:

If you guys have any suggestions or improvements I could make now is the time to tell me. I'm almost out of silv and MAPP.... and I'm out of play money for the week. (in fact, I went over just a bit this week )

And suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
