NSCA Meeting / Trail Run / Picnic It is time to schedule our next club event. It is not a comp this time. We need to have club meeting to take care of some official stuff. This should be fairly short. I would also like to have picnic in conjunction with this. Just a potluck. This will also be a trail run event. So bring out whatever you have. Whether it's a crawler (2.2, super, or mini) or your scaler build. Even if it's a toy RC you picked up at Walmart. Let's just get together, meet new people, and have fun! We do not have a definite date or location yet. I would like to have this at the end of the month. So please vote for your choice of either Saturday the 30th or Sunday the 31st. We are also open to suggestions on a location. A couple of places that have been mentioned are Elmwood Park and Cunningham Lake. Please post your suggestions / opinions in this thread. Thanks, |
I vote for Wilderness Park in Lincoln instead. |

I also wanted to make it a point to say that "you do not need to be a member of the NSCA to attend our events." Just come on out and have some fun! Thanks, |

Seriously tho, we've got a grill, a privacy fenced in big yard and a pretty good sized crawl course. I may have more for by the time yall decide on something. Got a park real close thats got an Awesome rock & waterfall. Got some real sick lines on it and is great for photos. Just got some today, I'll post'm up later. |

Too funny! I think I can speak for all of us when I say, we like having bathrooms! "thumbsup" Lincoln works for me, whether we meet at your place or the park. :) |
Does that mean it's settled then? We're all meeting at Rory's for a poopin' good time? "thumbsup" |
Sounds good to me. Just as long as the Poopin' isn't caused by the Grillin'... LOL BTW, Rory, I just realized who you are, and that I've known ya for quite awhile. Do you remember about, oh, eight years ago, I used to live in a little crappy pink duplex over around 27th street with Adam Beech? A real cocky, smart-ass kid with a bright-blue '69 Javelin and a ugly burnt-orange Wagoneer? (yeah, I was a different guy back then...or maybe not ) I still have the set of Thrush Turbo-Tubes I bought from ya at the Lincoln swap meet on that Jav... |
WOW, that's cool. Small world. As always, I'm up for people coming over and having fun. Might be a good chance for every one to check out the CORA crawlers. (might still need some assembly) Hopefully we can get some input on the crawler course out at the H.T. speedway. Jeremyfink and I went out today and got the low down on the area and what we need to do before we get started but it looks like a go. Anyone got an idea for a date on the GTG? |
.. This sucks, I will be on vacation from the 28th to the 2nd. |
8 Attachment(s) Todays pics at the park down the street from my house. And a couple of the other day. Believe it or not, I made that line across the crack that shows the underneth of my rig. (you'll want a "catcher" just in case it takes the 12' fall.) |
what park is that? |

If it's going to be in your backyard we'll let you pick the time. |

:lmao: Sure glad I sat my beverage down before I read this post. "thumbsup" |
So I am not a member, but I want to get to know some crawlers in the Lincoln area. I dont know where Rory's house and what time this is going on. I also want to find out what is going on with the Hobby Town course. Will this info be posted here? |
I might make this. I met some of you a few weeks back. I was Tom's friend. Anyways, I am a little hooked, but no rig as of yet. Want to pick all your brains to see about buying used parts and building a rig from tubing. Just an idea to get me going cheap. |
