I was talking to Dan (my employee) today and he told me about a place off 168th between Center and "Q" street. I went out at lunch and it looks pretty good... It is pretty big but hidden. Parking is 50 feet away and is in a public park. Think of the plex....on roids. |

Your pics are blocked for me at work here. I am looking at the aerials on Bing, where is this place in relation to 168th and the bridge that crosses the lake? I see parking lots in all 4 quadrants. http://www.bing.com/maps/default.asp...7585&encType=1 |

On the west side of 168th and just south of the lake there is 4 baseball diamonds. Look in between those and the parking lot. It would be about 170th and "H" street. P.S. Josh, I love bing maps Last edited by Eritex Inc.; 07-23-2009 at 05:59 PM. |

I found another area at the lake that could work well. Its kind of close to the lake but I think there is enough of a distance and its flat enough that there shouldn't be a fear of rolling into the lake. I am getting an axial tomorrow so I can crawl as early as this weekend! |

As far as the rocks it looks good. Is that a sheet metal wall dividing the rocks? Not sure walking through all of the weeds is a good idea though. *thinking possibility of snakes, poison ivy, poison oak, etc* Aside from that, lining up rigs while waiting turns could be challenging. Otherwise, looks like it would be very challenging. |

It is actually about 5 feet of weeds before you get on the rocks and the metal dividers are .250" thick, galvanized steel. I was walking on it yesterday. I think the best thing is for people to drive out and look at it. If you don't like it, we don't have to run there. I am just looking for more then the 2 spots we have now | |

I realize it is a city park, I just wasn't sure how well this particular area of the park is maintained, given all of the weeds there. As far as snakes, I don't care if they are poisonous or not, I'm not a fan of ANY snake. I'm sure I'm not alone in that category. :-P I'm not trying to "dis" anyone, like I said, as far as the crawling aspect of the rocks, it looks very challenging and I'm sure it would be a lot of fun for the participants. |
