2010 Summer Series

Here is our planned schedule for Summer 2010!
There are 10 scheduled comps.
We will drop your two lowest scores like we did last year.

There is a combo of 2 and 3 week gaps between comps.
Every 3rd comp is on a Sunday.
It ends the week before Nationals

Sat Jul 17
Sun Aug 8
Sat Aug 28

We are looking for some nice locations.
Be sure to let us know your ideas.
I think one of these needs to be up in Sioux City.
Dewey, I'll let you head up that one. Let us know which date you want
and then you pick the time and location.

I'm thinking that we will schedule the first one at HobbyTown in case mother nature keeps annoying the crap out of us. LOL

Sat Apr 17 - is one of the days i had set up for the sioux falls gtg/comp ... is that the plan ? i know you guys will like the falls

I was not planning on having an "official" comp in Sioux Falls. I know that some of the guys want to go up there to crawl, but I think 200 miles is too far away to make it part of our official summer series. We also have to remember that we cannot have more than two of our summer series comps outside of the state of Nebraska.

so is the 17th set in stone or can you change it to another day ? there are people in the Iowa forum planning to drive up as well

We can be flexible, I just know that we need to set a schedule to get things moving. Apr 17th just happened to be 3 weeks after the first comp. We can change it to the 24th if that is what makes the majority of member happy.

Anybody who wants it changed, post up in here.

I was just trying to accommodate as many people as possible. Some wanted comps every 2 weeks, some wanted comps every 3 weeks, most wanted Saturdays, but some wanted Sundays. I just made a mix of everything.

I say we change it also, that way I should be able to make all of the comps. Also I am going to check out Holmes lake park when it gets a littlle nicer out, we should be able to have a comp there too.

Crap I am going to miss the first 2 comps, unless we move the 17th to a different date. Its no problem, just not a very good way to start the series.
