NSCA Summer Series Comp #9

NSCA Comp #9
21st -22nd and "O" St in Lincoln

Sunday August 8th
Starting at 11 AM

It is time for the ninth comp of our Summer Series.
This one will be in Lincoln.

Remember that during our Summer Series events, dues paying club members comp for FREE.
Non-members will pay $5 to compete. Club dues for the calendar year are only $20 per family!

For the Summer Series there will be a total of 10 comps.
Each competitor will have their two worst finishes dropped when calculating the scores at the end of the season, this will allow people to still be competitive in the championship if they need to miss a comp or have an "off" day.

We will have a copy of the 2010 Rules with us and be following them closely.
We do make one change for our local comps though. We allow 60 penalty points per course instead of 40.
You can download your own copy here (http://www.usrcca.com/rules/2010_USRCCA_Rules.pdf)

Well folks, I will be sitting this one out. I've been sick since Sunday evening, and found out Wednesday afternoon that I have Mono. Not sure how I got exposed to it, but it is going to be an uphill battle for recovery time. Doc says I could still be dealing with muscle weakness and fatigue for a few months once the infection itself has cleared.

I also have a bacterial infection in my right ear, so I am on an antibiotic for that. Have some pills to take to help with the cough and some pills to take to help with the muscle aches. As if 3 different pills weren't enough, I also have some cough syrup to take at night that is supposed to keep me from coughing while I'm sleeping. AS IF!!

Anyway, our daughter will be attending the comp with Jim on Sunday, so she will be his helper by filling out score sheets and taking any money that may need collected.

Jim will bring the t-shirts with him as well, so if you owe money for one, please be prepared with cash $16. I had already made a printed list of who wanted a shirt, and those that have already received their shirt have been marked off. If you owe, it will be noted on the list.

There will also be 2 coolers with bottled water in them. Thanks to the donation received at the last comp, I was able to buy 2 cases (48 bottles).

Y'all remember to bring your sun screen and a hat to help keep yourself cool. Sounds like this weekend is going to be another hot one.

Kratos 08-06-2010 07:08 PM

Sorry to hear that and hopefully you can get better faster than predicted. ill be there around ten"thumbsup"

It will be blistering hot tomorrow folks, so I'm just offering to crawl my back yard course if you all think it's TOO HOT to be in the sun. Under the bridge will be halfway decent, but I've got plenty of shade on my whole course. ( Not to mention a bathroom, water and A/C to escape into."thumbsup"

Ty 08-07-2010 03:13 PM

I ran for a hour down there today. It was not as bad as it sounds. My truck said it was 95 when I left. The water was high, but the bum count was 0"thumbsup".
See you all tomorrow Ty.

I will crawl wherever, course I don't know where you live, lol. I imagine we can start in the comp spot and if it gets to bad we can move.

Check out what the air force weather shows for the base weather, updated right now.

DeweyCJ5 08-07-2010 04:27 PM

so just like last time...at least we can be under the bridge "thumbsup"
