Summer Series Finale and Results!

Thanks a lot for coming out guys!
We had a nice turnout, saw some new faces, and had great weather! "thumbsup"

We had our closest finish of the season.
There were only 5pts separating the top three drivers going into the finals!

Here are the results of today's comp:

Wanted to make it to this one but had to take care of some family buisness this weekend. Nice job Jim on setting up this years events and being the driving force behind the club. You and the wife have done the club prowd.

Thanks a lot guys and gals, it's been a lot of fun this summer. "thumbsup"
Congratulations again to the winners and everyone that competed!

For those of you that had questions yesterday about gate markers running to infinity . . . . especially relevant when you're tumbling down the hill . . . here is the clarification on that from the rules commitee.
___

#1 Breaking an imaginary vertical line that extends from the Gate-Marker to infinity in not a penalty. An imaginary line may be used to Judge whether or not they got 4 tires through a gate, but NO PENALTY is given just for breaking this imaginary line. IT can only be used to determine if 4 tires passed through the gate for CLEAN PROGRESS
___

So bouncing over the gate marker would not be a penalty unless your rig touched it, or touched two tires from the same axle on both sides of the marker at the same time.

Chad then should receive -10 points to his score then since he jumped over the gate with still making progress. That would give him a -47 for the day then, nice job Chad.

kwkride 08-29-2010 07:16 PM

Actually for the one you were questioning, it would fall under this rule as a penalty.

You called it a penalty because his tire went over the gate marker while he was attempting to progress that gate. Correct call. "thumbsup"
