Default Nebraska Crawlers

Okay Huskers, lets get some people posting up and get a club started. I am willing to do the leg work for an Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa club. What I need from you guys is for you to post up and to get ready to crawl.

I would really like to see something put together by mid February so we can start hitting the rocks come March 1, 2008.

The guys I know of here in the Omaha area are...

RD400/Eritex Inc--------Both are screen names for me. One is my personal, the other is for my company.

thaclodking-------------Better post up Jay, I will start telling stories about you

sniders1975------------Come on Tom, post up.

Please add your screen name to the list if you are interested in getting a club started for this spring. Also, if you have found a good spot for crawling, share with the rest of the class.

I would love to see a guy or two from our new club get an invite to nationals this year.

YES! I am so IN! I live in Colon, about five miles from Wahoo. I've been wanting to hook up with some Nebraska guys for a while now.

I don't know how much stuff I'll be able to get to, since I have a wife and two kids and I'm low on $$$ 95% of the time. But I'll try!

I know a cool trail-run spot in wahoo, it's about a mile in and back, altogether, it's a hiking trail/drainage ditch/wooded area, with piles of busted concrete and stuff thrown in for good measure. Lots of hill climbs, etc. But you gotta wait for some dry weather to run there. Otherwise it's a mud hole. It's off the side of Cook's park.

I'm actually not sure if it's public property or not, but I've been going back there since I was a kid and nobody's ever said squat.

No real rocks though. :-( Sucks living here in flatland country.

Everybody post up pics of your rigs! I wanna see what I'm up against.

Here's Mine:

Great, I look forward to meeting up with you. One of these days when you are in Omaha you need to stop by my shop. Going to use it as a kind of HQ for the club.

I blew my knee apart last May and I guess without me setting stuff up they all kind of faded away. I am in business for my self now and part of it has to do with crawling so I can dedicate a lot of time to getting a proper club up and going.

I saw it in the hideaway. Didn't you blow the knee on the knee wall at the new house? Congrats on the new ownership. This summer has had a lot of changes with me too. Bought a house had a kid and am getting married in the fall. This is why I was mia for about 6 months

Congrat's Cole, being a dad kicks *ss.

Actually, the wall was almost 6 feet tall. The motorcycle accident in '96 and football in '90 did most of the damage, the wall just finished it off

Are you a gimp like my fingure? I mean do you have a perma limp now. My fingure still doesn't work, damn hub caps. Being a dad is interesting, I don't sweat the small things anymore.

Good luck with the club.

No limp, my doc did a great job. I just have to watch it for another 6 months, then he said I will be in the clear.

Yeah, I literally live in the a$$hole of nowhere. Seriously, I think they just named it that as a Joke. Total population is 136. There are three roads into and out of town (and one of them is about to be closed because no one uses it.) There's a post office, a bank, and a bar and grill, and that's about it. Oh, and the grain tower. If you were driving down the highway and blinked right you'd miss it.

BUT, where else could I buy a 4 bedroom, two bath, two story house with a four-car garage, another one car garage, and another outbuilding on a quarter acre for $54,000?

And hey, you shouldn't make fun of Wahoo. It's the home office of the David letterman show, y'know! Well, okay, the home office is the phone booth downtown, but...

Sounds cool! Where's your shop at? I know Omaha pretty well, I used to work out at the Fontenelle Hills golf course summers when I was in high school and I worked for three years at the Firestone on 132nd and Center.

Its nice to see the forums broken down, now we can really see there is nobody in Nebraska

I am from Omaha but live in KC now, the wife and I are back constantly though and maybe back permanently someday soon.

I will try to make all the comps in the area if there are enough people to compete. Otherwise you guys are going to have to make the trek to KC, our comp scene is pretty decent.

The only place that I can think of that may have good rocks is the zorinsky damn. Thats about it. But if I find some other place I will be sure to let you all know. I know that the Irvington HobbyTown has some rocks at their store but I don't know how good they are.
