i went out this morning and got some pics of my favorite east side crawl spots.

Those look like some very nice spots. How far out from sunrise?

West End Wash is about 20 minutes past Sunrise Mountain. Redstone is about 15 minutes past West End Wash. They're all along the same route. Redstone is by far the biggest and best crawling spot i've found. the pics are about 1/4 of the rocks there. West End Wash and Redstone are both in the park, so there's an entrance fee. i haven't looked at the fees in a while because i have a lifetime pass. i think it's $10 per vehicle, but you can get a yearly for like $30.

"west end wash" is 20 minutes east (away from town) of "sunrise mountain". "redstone" is another 15 minutes east of "west end wash". it's three completely different places. i tried to make the google maps links show all three spots, maybe it's not showing up right.

i thought you were just screwing with me, my bad. when you head up to sunrise you're going east on lake mead blvd. if you continue heading east you go through the entrance gate for lake mead national recreation area (this is where you pay) and make a left at the first intersection, northshore road. from the sunrise mountain spot to the first spot (west end wash) is about 20 minutes. if you continue past west end wash, on northshore road, 15 minutes later you'll get to the second spot, redstone. west end wash is 20 minutes from the sunrise mountain spot. redstone is 35 minutes from the sunrise mountain spot. to go to redstone, you would pass sunrise mountain and west end wash. i'm sure im making it sound more complicated than it is. the intersection of lake mead blvd and northshore road is the only intersection to contend with. you can go left or right. you wanna go left. west end wash and redstone are both on northshore road which is basically the only road.
