Yup just gates. We try to have a mix of hard and easy because of the cco1s. Points are based off of the ability to clear the gates. With bonus gates so you have a chance at negative points. No scale points or anything like that

Here is how we are running it so far, Our goal is 1.9 or smaller 1.9. 1.7 1.5
Rules for comps so far are rough but work and its fun.
Scoring is like golf, lowest number wins. Hit gate +2 (this means take the gate out or knock it over) Hit it twice +2 and gate is dead move on. Skip a gate and its +4. Bonus gate completed -4 Bonus gate flags have same rules as regular flags. If you fail bonus line you must complete regular gate to move on. If you HAND OF GOD your vehicle (touch it) its +10. Vehicle tow strap roll over is 0. No timed runs. (Yet, this could change) You can drive through a gate forward or reverse. You CAN NOT back through a gate and drive forward through it, flags must be driven through in progressive order. We have No classes of vehicles yet. Only thing we encourage you to have is a tow strap. I miss anything..? Have lots of fun and get more people in vegas involved..!"thumbsup"

Too many on Sunday for my blood. Oh well, I'll make what I can. There needs to be a real seperation between chassis types. There's no way my XC can compete with something that's all straight axles unless you set it up like a real truck.

Now all I gotta do is get batteries sorted, no thanks to Santa, and my esc. DOH!!!

Yea the sunday thing 95% of the guys said thats the best day. Saturdays they have to request off work and it becomes a monthly request. I tried to alternate as best I could. I was thinkin summer time hold them later on saturdays. We thought about cc01 on course and we made the flags so you have more than one line. We went out to red stone and took greg and his cc01 and he did almost everything we did with the stock tires and I think it was still fun. Just make what you can, all comps are 3-4 weeks apart so we do a lot of GTG and just run.

We are growing as a club and I think everyone agrees we have a great group. We do a lot of gtg and people are learning their rigs and limits. I think thats evident by scores from comp. As promised rules will titghten up a little for comps. As far as scoring and progress go, We are NOW putting into place the following rules. You will have deductions from scores for scale items. People are spending money time and effort to be scale so now will be rewarded for it. Courses will be a little tougher and bonus lines will make you think twice, looking for a 3 in 10 chance of making it.
POINTS DEDUCTED
spare tire -2
Driver -2
working lights -1
Working Winch-2
Scale accessories Gas can, jack, sleeping bag, cooler, shovel, pull pal, tow strap, mirrors, snorkel, antenna (cb or car NOT your radio antenna from reciever) , tool box, propane or air tank, fire extinguisher, fire wood, jumper cables, spare parts or whatever it is MUST be on vehicle to count. These items will be 1/2 a point. With tire, driver, lights, winch and some scale items you could easily be -10 to start, thats hitting a couple of flags and still scoring a 0. Flags are now going to be modified to fall when hit...

i like it...as far as flags i say make em so they dont fall but if you hit them that would be the same as knocking them over......so what would be the point deduction for a off road caravan trailer??????????/lol hauling style not camper style.........and are we going to add the scale points and all into the dekar series?????? would be cool????????

Yes points for a trailer, I would say -8..! And Dakar series will also gift time for scale.

Welcome back! Hope the Wallet is being nice and letting you get your rigs up and running right.

Well sorry for being a ghost lately, I tend to do that from time to time if you haven't noticed. This last time was because of work, We just got a new class of students in a few weeks ago and well when a bunch of new pilots get in jets tend to break and that makes for a busy me. that with being in the middle of selling my truck and finding a new one.

Lil updates. currently working on a trade for a set of 1.9 mayhem wheels for the truggy so I can go back to my proven 1.9 flat iron set up that made my XJ so deadly. hopefully that will help get my truggy a lil more planted. Itll be nice to be able to side hill again haha.

As for the Dakar build. the truck is up and driving. now comes body and scale stuff. Idk if im gonna run the SC wheels on it or some light 1.9s. Big thing is keeping rotating mass down as Iv already nuked the diff and its just holding on by JB weld now lol
