Has anyone done any looking along, Deer creek road, the road between Kyle Canyon and Lee Canyon, It’s been a long time since I’ve been over that road, but I remember some places that would be worth a look off that road. When I first moved out, and I had good legs, I spent a lot of time on Mt Charleston, there are a number of the hiking trails that would make for some fun with the trucks. Re: mnt. charleston this weekend! I can't think of a real good spot in MT. Charleston. But the walking trails are fun. Here and there you can stop and climb solid rock. But I want to look for a good spot. |
Re: mnt. charleston this weekend! last time i went with anthony like january 2012 we just drove till a spot where you could park for free as there is no parking on the side of the road and there were some spots that you had to pay to park. dont know if it was the same road or not. i need to hop on google and see if i can find it. small update about more people in the future, got a fb message from another racer back from 702 whos friend bought a rig and is looking for a group to go out with and he may also buy himself 1 |

Re: mnt. charleston this weekend! im thinking this https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl 78 mary jane big falls road mount charleston nevada (use google map not mapquest) is where we shot this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9j85vHDoFao at the 7 min mark i see the lil fenced in building and that lil rock stream ran for quite a bit, nothing big but some rock. also 930 mark the rock at the bottom is part of that same rock at 7 mins and it went further. all this vid was shot within proly 80 feet of the parked cars. i was looking at googled mnt charleston stuff and seems like alot of places are temp. closed. i havent looked at roads yet but just figured i would share, lemme know guys if this spot interests any1 |

Re: mnt. charleston this weekend! ok so 78 mary jane big falls road, mount charleston, nevada is the spot(use google maps not mapquest.) being a decent drive and also having a meeting spot before the drive into the mountains we plan to be there starting to rc around 945-10am. for thoes driving solo see you there, if you want to enter the drive in a road train are meet spot before heading into the mountains is where you turn off the 95 onto kyle canyon. small dirt/gravel parking area on the side of the road. jose, lyle and myself will be there from 8-845 waiting for anyone who wants to drive in together and then of course 845 start the rest of the drive to 78 mary jane big falls road mount charleston nevada |
Re: mnt. charleston this weekend! The meeting spot is off the freeway and the road that takes you up to Mt. Chaleston. Be on a look out for an AXIAL banner- That's the meeting point. I'll sit there drinking my coffee, lol. |
