Default Fun spot in Reno for hill climbing

Hey guys, there is a fun spot I have found to play at off of Highlands Ranch rd. It's not really a place for rock crawling but since more and more of us are getting into the faster rigs like the Yeti I thought I'd share it with you.
The terrain is mostly loose sandy dirt with some big hills to climb. Here are a few pix of my Traxxas Summit out there.

I love hill climbing and this place is really fun for that. It's in between Sun Valley and Pyramid Hwy. Just take Highlands Ranch rd and it's the big cut out mountain with huge boulders down by the street.

If you have anything that is fast this is a really fun place to play. I live pretty close to it so if you want to meet there just send me a PM.

It IS if you have something with power and speed! Some of these hills are huge! My Summit works pretty darn well for this with the big 'ole Mudslingers and the Mamba 2 powering it!
Lots of fun to be had there.
I have done a lot of grooming on my "play hill" to get rid of some of the big rocks and bushes that I kept on hitting.
Looking at it from the road there is some sort of old iron work right next to it and then the actual hill has a little notch at the top of it where I have been climbing it.
I'd LOVE to see some more rigs trying to make it up it.

Well, the way my wraith is powered, not set up for anything but a slow crawl, it probably go's a whole 10 mph ! lol.........I must be really sick to think I need some kind of basher, or better yet a Yeti.........Durwank, I really like pic no 4. the 1:1 vehicle on the blacktop and the 1/10s in the foreground really messes with the scale and how it's perceived ...cool

We're ALL sick with the R/C bug. I know I am! I love to rock crawl and to bash! We did take our crawlers today and found some pretty good sections to crawl on as you see in a few of the pictures but bashers have more fun here.

I would LOVE to see the Yeti XL attacking some of these hills. Better yet, I want my own XL to play here.

Thanks for the complements on my picture. I took another look at that one and can see what you mean until I realized that part of my son is in that picture. LOL

That was a lot of fun man! It was cool to see a Yeti attack some of those hills. Would love to see a Yeti XL out there sometime.

Here's a few more pix. from today.

That Yeti did pretty darn good on those hill climbs. I was impressed. Put some paddle tires on it and it would be out of control!

Hey buddy, it's been a while.
This IS a fun spot for fast r/c cars. You would have a blast with your Yeti.

Durwank, I may try to hook up with you next weekend if possible. I have a friend with a Yeti xl that would love that spot, and a few more friends with slashes that would try to tackle that hill. Im the only crawler out of the bunch so I will bring my rig out also to mess around. Its not fast, just set up for rock crawling only. I will let you know.
