Anybody up for a Saturday morning trip to Donner?
 

Hey guys, I am planning on going to Donner Saturday morning to get some crawling in. Might make a run down the old train tunnels as well.

Okay, so plans have changed to Sunday morning. It sounds like a few guys are going to be there. Might be shaping up to be a fun day.

Just a heads up Darren, there is a good sized group going to Thomas Creek off Mt. Rose hwy Sunday morning at 10. Its more trailing than anything but the multiple water crossings make it awesome. Would be great to have ya out man!

That sounds like fun, i have never been there, and did not know a group met there on Sundays

This was organized on FB and I always forget to post it here on RCC for any that aren't on the 'book. We usually end up having some sort of run once a month

How deep is the water? I don't have any of my shit waterproofed.

My jeep is not waterproof at all and I don't have a problem. It is basically a series of creek crossings as you go up the trail, however no worries if you have to pick up your truck. Plenty of dry trail there.

Are there any nice rock sections?
I REALLY love the big rocks at Donner so I might run with you guys for a while then ho on up to Donner.

It is fairly tame from what I've done, but we are going up to the upper part of the trail where I haven't been yet. Might be some good stuff

Sometimes we do the PCT (pacific coast trail) witch is more difficult rocky/trailing. Somedays we will do 6 hr trail runs loops
