BLACK ROCKS is in DERBYSHIRE near to a well known motorcycling meeting place called MATLOCK BATH, I would say it would take you @ 2.5 hours to drive there James.

It' would be a 2 hour trip for me, but that sure looks like it would be worth it.
Planning another trip there in the future?

We are hoping to organise a get-to-gether and lay some sections out when the weather is warmer, Its only down the road from me (15mins) so I will go there as often as I can. I don.t think you would be dissapointed if you came up! Are you coming to melton this saturday? Regards JOHN.

I don't think I'll be at the Melton meet, but I reckon it'd be worth taking a trip to Black Rocks at some point.

Id say its just as good for scalers as it is for clod size , all routes have got a challenging bit in them but there's still loads of places we've not been or looked at yet .

That looks a good spot you've found.

What is access like? It's not a 10 mile yomp from any parking is it?

Could well be persuaded to pop down.

Off onto local.live.com to have a look of the area.

There are car parks at the bottom of a hill so that is not a problem, there is a short walk (uphill) to the top. Look for cromford on the A6 to Matlock Bath it is very close to the cross roads at cromford. It is a good site ,there are other areas we have not tried yet! Regards JOHN.
