2017 New England Monster Showdown - June 23rd-25th - Fort Wetherill, RI

Update your Calendars, now with new and improved dates. After much pleading we were able to convince the park to let us have our event in June. This means that we will have warmer weather, longer days, and over a month after ECC and before NENQ.

Welcome to the Event Page for the New England Monster Showdown. The goal of this event is the same as last year, get the best crawlers together for a great event in Rhode Island with a huge driver payout. If my history lessons are correct the $2750 cash payout to the top 8 Drivers in the 2.2 Mod last year was the largest in Comp Crawling. I am working with last years sponsors and new ones to meet or exceed last years support.

The 2.2 Mod Comp class is the Headline Class for this event but we will also be hosting 2.2S, 1.9 Mini, Super.

For those into the scale sensation we will be running an X4 event across the property, and U4 Race up on top of the rocks. Thanks to Jermain and the NBRC crew for offering to help run the scale side of the event for a second year.

1:00 pm - Courses 4-6 open

Because The 2.2 Mod class is the headline class we may choose to switch Saturday/Sunday Comp classes in the event of poor weather, it will not be switched for any other reason.

X4 and U4 race will be held on Sunday rain or Shine.

Driver registration for 4 comp classes is $50 total. It is the same price whether you run 1 class or 4 (Consider it as buy in to Mod class, get the rest for free).
Half of the fee from the Comp Class driver registration will go to the Mod Class top 8 Driver prize support. Entry will increase to $60 on June 1st.

Driver registration for a vehicle in U4 or X4 is $20 or $30 for both events. Prices will increase to $25/$40 on June 1st.

Top 3 Drivers in all classes will be awarded trophies. Only 2.2 Mod Comp Class will be awarded cash prizes. All participants will be included in the sponsor gear giveaway!!!

Accommodations

There is a block of rooms for "NEMS" at the Mainstay Hotel in Newport RI. The room rate we negotiated is $95/n weekday $175/n Friday/Saturday night.
They will keep our room block until the end of April.

I go visit the BC boys, a few times a year. From, Central PA.

Maybe you should look into the NENC.
