Default Calling all GSRCRC Members

Guys,

Seems the forum is down. The Club is still going on. As a club, please use this area of RCC to communicate until the forum is up and running again. Myself and the other MODs from GSRCRC will be posting up information about the comps and such and I encourage all members to post up information about gtgs and such. Please send me PM's here on RCC if you have any questions or need something.

There is already a thread here about comp two. I will start a thread here to register for this comp. Even if you posted up on GSRCRC about comp 2 please register in the registration thread here.

VIVA GSRCRC.

Sites been fine for about a week, shoutbox still isn't working but logging in,posting, and checking things have not been a problem. Whats exactly happening? is the page loading and you just cannot log in? or nothing comes up or what?

I can't connect to the site, I get the "cannot connect" page. Mozilla does just about the same thing, although I can connect using IE from work???
This started the other week when the site was down. Any idea why?

Thats..a little weird, I get that same screen sometimes, what if you go to another site than back to gsrcrc.... that usually works for me. Refreshing doesn't always help.

NG...

It gets stalled on contacting the web page, then just times out. I have tried Mozilla, I just downloaded and installed Opera and they all have the same problem???? Three browsers and still not connecting????

Question

I just tried from the wifes computer and still no go, so it is not just my computer but more like my connection..... Could there be an issue with my ISP (RCN)? This just started after the site shutdown a week ago, I thought the site was just down for a bit, but decided to give the site a try at work (not RCN) and I got through....

Yea, My best guess is something at home, a firewall or something security blocking it out for some crazy reason all of a sudden.

I don't get it... I disabled the internet security and firewalls on both computers and still no go.... I am not an IT wiz but it seems as though GSRCRC or RCN is blocking my connection. I can get to any other web page no problem.... This all started when the site went down the other week....

Can you PM me an email addy for whoever runs the site so I can see if there is anything that can be done on that end? There are a couple members who are from the LV area that might have RCN as their provider, I wonder if they have any problems?

Thanks

After making a few calls and trying to talk to "out sourced" help on another continent. We figured out it is my router that is blocking my access to the site, if I connect right up to the modem and bypass the router, I can get on.. I guess it is blocking access to the port gsrcrc is using. I need to find out which port gsrcrc is using and call the router company back (Belkin) to see if they can fix the prob....
