Default New to Rock Crawling

Hey there in NJ. I live in Budd Lake and Race at Dirtrunners with NJJEEPGUY and just got into crawlers. I got off ebay a 1:6 Nylint Scorpion and a Bulu 3 TLT-1 2.2 crawler that was used in Oregon and placed 9th in the clubs season there.

I am very interested in finding people to crawl with it does get old crawling alone. Budd Lake is northern NJ, but I am willing to travel a bit. I do not know alot of places but know of two that may be good. Washington Valley Park, I used to mountain bike there and Malhal Dickerson preserve off rte 15, on the way to Jefferson.

I am game for anything, just want to crawl. Weather in NJ is been mild with no snow, so its still a possiblity. If not maybe in the spring and summer.

email is dscarsi@aol.com or write me here.

Would love to cut some tennis balls and set up a course and have some fun

Let me know

Slimbo, you should check out dirtrunners for racing (dirtrunners.com). Nice people, decent track (little small), but so much fun. Just started racing last year, I race T4, B4, and rc18T. Its a blast, they have a two day trophy race every year also. Where do you race currently?

As soon as I know of a time I can go crawling (i have a 14 month old boy so free time is hard to come by) I will post and try to PM you guys, you guys do the same and maybe we can get together.

Hey JeepguyNJ,

Its Doug from Dirtrunners. I was hoping to post a g2g here for this weekend, but the weather report is calling for rain at this point. I will keep an eye on it and if I decide to go, I will post it. My plan is to scout out and do some crawling at the Mahlon Dickerson Reserve off Weldon road which is off Rte 15.

Any NJ guys that want to crawl, keep an eye out for my post. As soon as the weather permits I will be posting a g2g, I will be crawling and company would be great.

When I do go, I will be have both my rigs, my 2.2 and my Nylint and some halved tennis balls, I may even have some scoring sheets I found online. Hopefully before spring we can have a g2g, but if not, we wait.

It would be great to get some guys together and start having some regular g2gs and comp in the northern NJ area.

*****I am starting a new thread called Northern NJ G2G's, guys really interested in getting together can look and post here.
