Default CT Crawl June 11 at Lovers' Leap in New Milford, CT - FREE STUFF

Here's the skinny:
Quote:
I'd like to see a GTG happen at Lovers' Leap in New Milford in the near future. Any takers? How about next Sunday, the 11th. The forecast is sunny and 77 degrees.

I'll bring free copies of the annual RC Monster Trucks magazine (has a big crawler article in it), free 1-year subscriptions to RC Car Action and free RC Car Action hats and stickers to anyone who shows up and crawls. I'd love to see a bunch of people show up. All you have to do it commit ahead of time, so I know what to bring.

I also have a custom painted (by Zegers) HPI Jeep body that I'll give away.

Directions:

> Tale exit 7 and follow to traffic light. Take right at light.
> Stay on this road and go through Brookfield and into New Milford.

> Take a right onto Still River Drive. There will be a NewMil bank on the right hand side.

> Follow this road through a 4-way intersection.

> This road turns into Pumpkin Hill and will take you over a river. Right after the bridge take a right and look for a dirt parking lot right in front of an old trestle bridge. Park here and walk up the trail to the rock crawling spot.

No website as far as I know. I'll add more detail to the directions in the next few days.

Default Good directions

> Take 84 West

> Tale exit 7. This exit will put you on a 2-lane expressway (it's called "Super 7"). Follow to traffic light. When the express ends after a little over 4 miles, take right at light.
> Stay on this road (Rt.s 7/202) and go through Brookfield and into New Milford.

> After about 4.7 miles and at the fourth light, take a right onto Still River Drive. There will be a big NewMil bank on the right hand side.

> Follow this road through a 4-way intersection and over a rail road crossing.

> This road turns into Pumpkin Hill and will take you over a river. Go about .9 miles and immediately after the second bridge, take a right and look for a dirt parking lot right in front of an old trestle bridge. Park here and walk up the trail to the rock crawling spot. You should see a enclosed construction trailer and plenty of spots to park.

Mapquest might bring you to the wrong side of the park. Use the directions I posted above.
