Default Possible S.E. PA GTG site- Ringing Rocks

Okay this site has me hooked, I have a sw2 crawler on the way via ebay, so i am ready to throw myself into another r/c hobby. Guess I am an addict! LOL Anyway I have been driving all over the place looking at or scouting places to crawl. I have lived in the Quakertown,Pa area since 98 but never went to Ringing Rocks County Park. Below is a link to a website and my jaw dropped. So I am going on Sat. to check it out first hand. Has any local guys ever crawled here, or thought of doing a gtg. Just curious, below is a link , check it out.......thx

I am in Perkasie ,Pa which is about 25 min south of Allentown ,Pa....I actually went to Ringing Rocks today to check it out. Very cool place , has a huge boulder field which looks like it would swallow up a crawler but the rest of the park is wooded and has tons of scattered boulders and trails. I think it would be a great place to crawl.

Marzzz23, that place looks great and its only about an hour from me here in Mount Olive, NJ. We have a club started www.gsrcrc.com. Maybe we can meet you there some day soon and jam those rocks.

Stony ridge is a place I found going the backway to my GF's. No one seems to know who owns it but people are there all the time hiking and such. Its a glacier deposit sitting on top of a huge ridge line. I'll grab some pics next time we go there. We have been going there for years now. Its probly 25 minute's north of Allentown. About 2 miles long maybe 250 feet wide and stuff there from super easy to insane. Our runs we usually do are about 1 mile long of non stop crawling one way.

I'll do some digging and find out who owns it. For a couple people to go there its never been a big deal. I'd like to have permission to comp there though. Problem is I only know 1 other guy that crawls within a half hour of me and that one of my good friends.

Long story short its like Moab for RC crawlers but on the east coast. Pm me if you want to talk about this place. I hate to take over someone else's thread.
