Default June 8th event....where are we going?

We had decided at the last event that we do a comp or GtG on the second Sunday of the month....well that's the 8th this time.

Where are we going? I vote for the picnic grounds (La Cueva??)

I'm there unless I have to be somewhere else. Same time as always?

Now I have to get off my butt and make this new rig. THIS is what my running in a comp is all about. Totally untested rig? Check!

Hrm, I wonder if I could get together some more rocks or bring over the wood stuff. We could do a bbq in my back yard and run some crawls.

10:00 at La Cueva would be great. Little cooler outside..... Is this a comp or standard breakage session? Don't care either way. Not like I drive any different! :-P

P.S. To anyone who hasn't been to La Cueva before, don't forget your $3 day use fee. They check regularly....

I have somewhere else to be at 10 but I will show up as soon as I can be there. Is everyone else up for 10 or does it need to be later???

10 sounds better due to temp. I'm sure we'll be out there 'til 1 or 2.

Agreed, 10 AM to start. Tech and course inspection shouldn't take longer than an hour so we should be crawling at 11.

I will be up there to pick up my nephew for the summer, so I would love to crawl that park, love all the shade!! I tried to Google Earth La Cueva park but nothing came up? Can someone post a map to the park? Barnabie, when are you going up?

Thanks

Andrew

Couldn't get the map link to work, but if you take Tramway Blvd. (you can catch it from I-25 out by Sandia Casino or I-40 before you get into the canyon) and turn off at National Forest Road 333 (where Tramway starts to make a big bend). We crawl at the second picnic spot off or Forest Road 333B (branches off 333 to the East at the pay station). PM any of us for a cell phone number and we can talk you in if you get lost.

Andrew there was a change of plans, the seminar that I was going to give was posponed so i won't be able to make it......BUT on sunday there are a few local guys (about 10-15) that are going to get together in the parking lot behind the Don Haskins Center at UTEP......I will be making this a weekly deal, for me at least, this way i can take my little boy out there with me... But none the less you all have FUN up there, and hopefully someone will post up some pictures!
