How about an overall points standing, and were will comp # 4 be held, maybe we can get harder gates next time with just a bit more traction LOL had fun at the crawl would of enjoyed just more grip, or maybe I need to set up my truck better. Jorge |

First thing I want to say is I apologize for the very difficult courses that I built for this comp. I understand that if a comp is to be fun people will have to be able to find lines that will allow them to reach the end of each course. I tried each and every course at one point or another and was able to reach the end with more then a few problems on each course. I wanted to make sure this one was as challenging as it could make it. In order to help the people who want reach or do well at the nationals! When we were at the event I found that people were taking the very same line as the person in front of them, if they had been paying closer attention they might of found a better line that would have worked out in their favor. You need to watch the people in front of you. That way if they choose a great line, you can follow them. But if they choose a line that wastes time and keeps putting them on their lid you will know that is not a good line to follow. Something else that people need to do is know when to cut their losses, and look for a better line. When you find that you are struggling with a line, take a reverse and look for another one. Before each and every event I post up that anyone and everyone is welcome to come out early before each event in order to help set up the courses. You may have to get up a little earlier, but you may find that you gain a slight advantage seeing as you could know more then the guy or lady who stayed in bed that extra hour. I am even happy to have a alternate line for people who feel that they can not make the competition course. But if you choose the "easy line" you will not be practicing up for the nationals. Once again I apologize if you feel that I made the courses to difficult. I do not want to discourage anyone from joining us at the next event. I do not want this to become a pain in the butt, RC Rock Crawling is all about fun and I want to keep it that way! I think everyone knows this, but anyone is always more then welcome to offer up your suggestions. If you want to see something please feel free to get in touch with me either here in a forum, a PM, by phone, I even know a bunch of you know where I live. Thanks & Happy Crawling!!! James |

^^^^^^ Builds character, right? :-P I'm just bummed I didn't get a shot at course 3 before I had to jet. I expected the lines to be a little tougher than usual since that area is a little short on big rocks. Still had a blast and it's all about setting up the rig and learning to drive any condition that's thrown at you. Obviously there were a few guys who got it done on at least one or two courses and those were impressive runs. Hats off to them! I think it's good practice for Nats because you can't bank on traction. I witnessed that the year I went. It looked like there would be plenty of traction but I was suprised at the number of rigs that had trouble. You never know..... |

I had fun.. just wish my rig would have made it threw the day so I could have tested my self with all the runs. 0-well. That was the first time I have ever had a *huge* problem with it. Guess I can't gripe to much.

I had fun I was not complaining and believe me that 3 1/2 hour drive will not stop me and I will keep trying different set ups. Congrats to the top 3 finishers. Now how about posting the overall standings I am probably in last place but I would like to know were I stand. Thanks James for your hard work I know sometimes we all gripe trust me at the indoor track at the store I get that and this weekend I will be starting parking lot races and I know not everyone will be happy but wether the courses or tracks are easy or hard it does not matter it is about spending a couple of hours with a group of people that enjoy doing the samething and getting more people involved. James I think you guys did a great job of setting up the course. We have gone up and down that creek bed many times and never seemed to have any problems with it. I had a new setup and had not had a chance to try it out so thats my excuse. lol. One thing that did bother me was the time factor. You know I don't get in a hurry when i crawl and some of the time I felt pressure to clear a gate to get on to the next gate, which didnt happen. That, however, is not your or anyone elses problem as we are competing using standard rules for everyone and that keeps the playing field even. Again, great courses and it was a good time. Keep up the good work and we will keep enjoying it.
