| Need a new charge.... recommendations??
So, my cheep little dynamit charger fried. Not that big of a deal, it was cheep, old, and work for what I needed at the time. Now I am in the market for a new/used one. I am not using lipo... so I don't need anything fancy. Just looking for a good smart charger that will not fry my packs. Something with a discharger as well? Any recommendations? |

You know that one of these days your gonna go lipo so just bite the bullet and buy a decent charger. You get what you pay for. Oh yea the lipos are smaller, lighter, and depending on brand cheaper then NIMH. |

Still running my Dynamite Prophet II, and that's backed up by my 20 year-old Liesure Charger... Did you get your Dynamite here in town? I got mine at HNS. If it's still under warranty, I bet they would take care of you.

Na, I've had this thing for YEARS... Bought it when I started on road racing when I lived in CA. Prophet II huh? Might have to look into that one as well. | |

| I would go with the other Prophet model that HNS carries. They only reason I went with the II was becasue it's all they had in stock at the time. My brother has the heavier duty version and you can dial in the amperage with a digital readout. The one I got just has a switch setting for 1, 2, and 4 Amps. Fine for me, but I wish it had a 1.5Amp setting for my little Elite 1500 packs. They take forever at 1Amp. Better than burning them up I guess. It's a nice little charger, but defintely not as heavy duty as their other models.

I like my Hyperion 6061. Great charger and does everything I could want it to with lipos.
