The money for the permit is not the issue. We have the funds for that. The issue is the BLM and the rules they have for that area.

i dont think the money is the problem. right now the only people who can go on that land and have a competition is the trials riders. they made a proposal to blm a long time ago about them being allowed to do that. as i understand it, we are doing the same thing but we have to wait for blm to send us the information we need to make that proposal. once the proposal is made they look at it and make a decision. i dont forsee any problem with the approval but at this time, no one but the trails riders are allowed to have comps on that land and i dont even think mountain bikes are allowed on it. as usual, i could be wrong. lol.

That and it will take 120 days for them to approve it.

Welp, I just happened to be driving around, and found this AWESOME place. Its got more traction than you could wish for, and plus its huge. Never have to drive the same line.

I think you all need to come down to Las Cruces

Well things are looking up with BLM. I had a meeting with the Outdoor rec planner and the BLM ranger for san ysidro today.they wanted me to write a written proposal for the land use. They said what was written was good, and on monday their supervisors will make a decision if it is aproved or not.I will keep you posted. For sure the process will not be done in time for comp#4.So we will be moving the comp to a location to be announced at a later date.
