both are great servos. I am kinda amazed the 645 isn't moving those HB's. That is a pretty stong little servo. Most the guys in the club use them, or at least have one for a back up. Personaly, I use the Hitec 7985mg. 175oz or torqe at 6 volts. It's a nice servo for under $100. Actuly, I think you where at hobby proz when I bought it. The 7955 might be a bit over kill for the Venon at 333oz of torqe... but that is JMO.

i think that is the point where the reliable make themselves unreliable lol and yes msd i believe i was at the proz when you bought that how are you liking that servo?

also the 645 is moving them but i noticed at states when someone was bound up hard and they turned, they were able to lift their entire rig with that 645 when i find myself in similar situations, the servo wont lift me but it will take the play out of all the linkage and mush the tires a bit. it may be the foams i have, im using stock venom foams, but i have a set of foams coming from rmdesignworks that look pretty cool. at any rate, thats what ive got going on

7955 or 7950 is the way to but there is also a brand called SAVOX about 30% less in price and just as good.

I recently purchased the hitec 7950 and it is a strong servo. Definately worth the money.

No way that someone was able to lift their rig with a 645, no matter what voltage thety were running to it. Never happen. A 645 just won't cut in a comp rig. People that think a 645 is enough apparently have never used any real power, if the had they wouldn't be using the weak 645 anymore.

If you're looking for the goods, pick up a 7955(good), a 7950(better), or a 7980(bad boy). Just remember you will need a Castle BEC to realize the full potential of any of those.

Default Hobby Proz can get the Hobbico CS-170 servos for $80

Ask Hobby Proz to order you a Hobbico CS-170.

It is a re-badged Hitec with 333 Oz at 6 volts.

For $80, the only difference is it is not programmable.

I've been running a couple of them on my Suzuki Samurai for about a year, and I love them.

The high voltage servos are nice, too, but you can get two CS-170's for the price of one high voltage servo.

sorry for your misunderstanding i meant to have a comma between "rig" and "with the 645"

wasnt trying to say they were lifting it with a 645 just that they were lifting them

but thank you non-the-less for the info

You might want to check out SAVOX as well, they are monster power and torque and can stand up to the hitec's all day long and have been a long time favorite among monster truck and shortcourse drivers. RPP has them in stock

I got one of the SAVOX servos today, using it for steering in my clod super. So far I'm pretty happy with it especially for the price. I'm still going to run a 7950 in my comp rig, but a budget servo its a great deal.
