| NM state comp Sponsorship news I just wanted everone to know that I'll be sponsoring our state comp coming up next month in Albuquerque. I'll be putting together a BBQ as well as prizes and prize money. OTTSIX BONUS GATE CHALLENGE Will be a seperate bonus gate from the 2.2 courses. The drivers will pull a number from a hat to establish the run order at sign in. Drivers will have 30 sec. to progress the gate cleanly. There are no touches of any kind allowed. The first driver to progresses the gate wins $100. If there is no winner, numbers will be drawn from a hat and 5 drivers will win $20 each. Last edited by crawl-o-matic; 05-16-2012 at 02:52 PM. |

Is there a post already with event specifics? When and where and a sign up? I am new to the crawling community but am anxious to get out there and learn from some of you old pros. I had to start cheap with a Redcat rs10 xt. But it seems like I will be able to upgrade it as money will allow. If I showed up to the comp and the rear steer is still there, will I be able to compete if I promise not to use it? I will eventually try to lock it out and DIG it, but like I said, it all depends on money. Let me know when you can. Hope to see you all.

WELCOME!! I would think that because this is the state championship, you'll be required to follow all the rules. PM me your name and address and I'll send you this https://www.zno-rc.com/ProductDetail...uctCode=ZR0401 free of charge. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks. There's a BBQ next Sunday, hope you can stop by |

Thank you guys! Roglum, I will try to make it out cause it sounds awesome. I will have to check with the boss, my lovely wife, but I am sure many of you know how that goes. I must say I really love this community. I have been on different forums and never have I felt so welcomed. Thank you. Enough of the sappy stuff, got the new crawler yesterday. Instantly put the battery on the charger and stared at it. Turns out it charges slower if you watch it. After about 3 1/2 hours, I connected and started putting together a super quick course out of logs and slate walkway pavers. I made some pretty descent inclines and a sharp turn with some gaps between them to simulate getting in a hole. I thought I made it too difficult and would have to change it. Nope. Turns out my stock RS10 XT did it with ease. I even ran the little course backwards with no issue. I am so psyched and hooked. I will start taking pics of the rig and track all the mods I do to it. I think this will be a great entry level crawler though. Once again, thank you to all of you for welcoming me into this addiction. |

I had an RS10 and I had a ton of fun with it. With a few upgrades, it's highly comp worthy and drivers win comps with those axles all the time (check out the RS10 forum for more info) this is a very good thread to start with: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/redca...nsu-radio.html Last edited by crawl-o-matic; 05-30-2012 at 11:10 AM. |
