Chris,
if you are looking for a trail rig/scaler get yourself an Axial SCX-10 Welcome to RCC, I am right in ridge so when you get something together lemme know.

hey all. this is my 1st post. im from coram. i am a total noob when it comes to rc crawling. i have been on and off with r/c my whole life.. it all started with a tamiya lunchbox that i used to race at the old r/c track in centereach across from centereach pool. i did some on-road indoor racing at south shore hobby and willis hobby. ive had numerous builds over the years from t-maxxes to rc18mts.

i recently stumbled on rc crawling by looking through a peterson off-road mag and it had a holiday buyers guide in it with a picture of an axial sxc-10.

so ive been lurking this forum for the last few days trying to understand all the differences in the crawlers (still trying to wrap my head around the difference between 2.2 and 1.9 other than wheel size) i am really interested but don't want to drop 500+ on something without knowing exactly what i want. i know i am definitely into a more scale/realistic look...so i think i want to start with something like that.

the scx-10 honco looks like it might be up my alley but am i forever limited to always using the flatbed? i have also been looking at the rc4wd trailfinder and the tamiya hilux hi-lift.

i would love to meet up with some of you guys when you are running your rigs to educate myself and see these things in person. is there any hobby shops that support rc crawling? action, hurricane, east coast?? any indoor courses?

thanks,
adam.
