Default Rochester, NY Crawler Roll Call

While I am not new to RC's, I am new to the 1.9 crawler class. I am running a Losi Mini Crawler. Looking for other enthusiast in the Rochester area. I am looking into hosting sanctioned crawler events in the Rochester area.

Brent

It is in Western NY between Buffalo & Syracuse. Rochester is in Monroe county. The closest listed here is in Buffalo and that is well over an hour away.

Our club, WNYRCRC has comps in Springville NY at Glenwood RC. We have our 3rd of the winter indoors season tomorrow. I drive almost 2 hours to the comps, you are about 1.5 hours away.

There is like one other person in rome ny that has a crawler.
As far as comps go.... probably not happening out here for awhile.

While I appreciate the offer to go to Springville, it is just to far to go all the time. I am hoping to start something in the Rochester area. I have a location in mind that I would like to develop into a track to accommodate all types of RC vehicles with a focus on rock crawling.

Brent,

I'm out in Ontario and have found a couple nice spots to crawl around the Penfield, Webster area. I probably won't be doing much until the spring thaw..

Do you ever go to Performance Hobbies in Webster?

When it warms up, I would love to see your locations & get some crawling in. I am in the Gates/Greece area, so I usually go to The Hobby House or Dans.

Good folks at the Hobby House.
Tell Bart that Doug said he's gotta get crawling...lol

If you're going to drive to Dan's do yourself a favor and add the 5 -10 min out 104 to go to PH (there is not a styrofoam ball in the joint)
Ask for Jared... he's the crawler guy there.

We have gtg's and comps in Buffalo area. I would be interested in any new spots in or around Rochester. Ontario NY is cool too spent way too much time at Spencer Speedway in the early 90's.

Hey guys. We set up a small course at the RC Motorsports Group track in Brockport a couple weeks ago. It's going to take some time but it should be a great little course when done. Check out RCMotorsportsGroup.com for details about the track and come out on Thursday nights and give it a try. You'll see some great off road racing also. There are some guys coming out tonight with some crawlers.

Hey, I am from Mendon but live in NC now. I will be up there at the beginning of August. I will bring my crawler so maybe I can swing by.
