I'm going to be camping just outside of Oneonta this weekend, and I'm looking for some good places to crawl. The place I stay at has some trails, but they're mostly all flat and generally smooth, which gets old real quick. I'm hoping there are some more hilly/rocky hiking trails nearby that I can hit up. Anybody know of any good spots in Oneonta & Laurens? |

I didn't get a chance to get a crawler on it, but on Rt 23 in Oneonta, there's a large overflow parking lot directly across the Cooperstown All Star Village baseball complex. Within this overflow parking lot is a tremendous wall of crushed/loose slate & dirt, as well as a large excavation site. I intend to set aside some time to play in this parking lot next year. If anybody is in the area, I'd recommend this as a great place to bring your crawlers/scalers/U4RC type vehicles. |
