Default 8x8x8 workover rig revised

Sorry about that last post. Here's what I have so far on the workover rig project. I will hopefully start on the drawworks and derrik this month. To keep it roughly a 1:10 the derrik will be 50" and the drawworks will have a swabline in addition to the main drum. All will be functional via a seperate 4 channel remote. I was also working on a powerswiveland drill pipe that could be functional. The bottom picture is my AX10 sitting on my latest 1:1 project (1952 Dodge M37). I used to race RC's and just got back into them because of wrist surgery (its hard to work on my full size rigs with a cast...)

DUDE That thing is huge! looks like it will be pretty cool once finished. have you considered narrowing the wheels at all? might look pretty cool to just narrow up front and leave the rears alone for kind of a "dually" look. Nice work so far. Keep up the good work.

Looks pretty good but I'm not sure the big block will have enough power

The rig will be fully functional, I'm using a seperate radio to opperate the two spools on the drawworks and the power swivel that will be hanging from the blocks. I actually found 1/16'' wire rope that I think might work.

Yep. Its running a TQ3. I have a chip in it that goes between crab steer and eight wheel steer. You can flick a shitch on the chip and go between eight wheel steer and front steer only.

running them on the rocks seems to take it off pretty quick

Nice Build, I like the chip idea for 4 way steer/ 8 way steer. keeps it kinda simple

It's just a rebel flag. I use it to piss people off. I don't ever run it on my military rigs, just my mud truck.

NEW PICS

50" x 6.5" x 3.5"

main frame is 1/8" x 3/4" angle and the gerts are solid 1/4" aluminum rod. All of it was welded with my spoolgun. I still have alot to do on it, but its starting to take shape.
