Howzit eh bumbai!

Not sure which version of the gecko you have, I know there is a gecko pro and a gecko II, maybe more. They are for Tamiya Clodbuster axles.

Here's a link to general info on building a clod crawler(the pic for the gecko II doesn't show).

How to build a Clodbuster Rock Crawler

And like DTP said try doing an advanced search for the word "gecko" with the clod section as a parameter. That'll get you more specific info.

I have a Novak Crawler ESC with two Integy 55t motors wired in parallel. Do you have any electronics in mind yet? Is the chassis complete with the links and the steering kits?

I'm building one too. Where do you attach the lower links at the axle. I have mine on the inner c where the cross brace attached. It's pretty far outboard and interferes with the tires when they turn. Turning radius is inhibited big time. I'm running the Moab xls on Proline beadlocks.
Thinking about mounting the links further inboard or adding wheel spacers.

As for performance I tried the 85T integy's w/9t pinions. I'm thinking WAY too slow. Would you go 55t with the 9s or goes for some 12-14s with the 85Ts?

You got them mounted in the right place (above the axle right?), wideners are probably your best bet. Other options are narrowing the rims or a different set that doesn't have that much offset. Bringing the links inward will change the triangulation and reult in axle sway.

Here's a how to on narrowing the prolines, If you feel up to it.

As far as motors, it depends on what your running for power/volts.. I'm running 60t w/8t on 8 cells, decent combo but would like some more wheel speed too. It's more of a personal preference but it's better to increase wheel speed by volting up first.

Thanks for the info. I think volting up is my next move. I'm running a 6 cell. The rear stalls out when ever it is carrying the majority of the weight, ie trying to climbing steps, the rear motor dies.

went to a 7 cell and 8th pinion on the rear. helped a bit, but still stalls trying to climb stairs or any vertical more than 60 degrees.
Any suggestions?
