Default I have found a easy way to protect esc's

I just got my new henglong mad truck its a blast. i have not made it into a crawler yet but still enjoy 4x4 and since there is lots off snow i didn't want to reck my esc.... which is located in a bad place in the middle of the chassi on the drivers side so when i punch it it coats the esc so i made a cool little shield using 1 ziptie and half a juice bottle.

Click the image to open in full size.its hard to see but i cut the juice bottle in to quarters i used the bottem quarter so i had the bottom of the bottle to slide under my esc and reciever the side comes up over them and around the front of them(front of my truck is to the left...... esc is the small box on the right..reciever taller on the left) then you run the ziptie around both units snugging the plastic tight.. this will give enough protection on the side goes high enough for my bodie to slide over and is completely open on other side so it will not over heat and thats it i can take new pics to show how its done Thanks for reading.

splash guard looks good, but put that sucker in 1 balloon, ziptie the end, and you can go under water as deep as the neck of the balloon is high

I have ran a mamba maxx, xl-5, rooster, rooster crawler, EVX, TR2, LRP AI runner, tamiya stock esc, all in balloons ( on crawlers) with no overheating. The only esc that had a problem was a stock wheelie king one. It overheated after awhile from the factory anyways, but with the balloon it got worse.

get a higher turn motor and you won't have to worry about overheating... higher the better for crawling anyway!
