Default Crawler motor break in`s

I just bought a Integy V10 Rock Crawler Professional Motor 55S and was not sure if a break in is required with Crawler motors, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

IMO break in is not necessary for a crawler motor.
I've never broken any in.

The break in procedure I like to use..... Charge up a 10 cell sub C pack or a 3 cell lipo, plug everything in and stab the throttle wide open.

i hook up a new motor straight to a 7.2 pack... charge the pack.. let it run till the battery is almost dead.. do it again... and again.. this will form the brushes to the comm giving you a great contact and make the motor run better.

I noticed when I first operated my power setup, novak crawler, integy 55t, that it was really glitchy. after the first couple packs though, the motor broke in and now it doesn't glitch. guess it really depends on you setup...

I would say "yes", break in your motor

Most crawler motors are cheap lathe motors, so the best thing you can do is turn the comm and cleans up the brushes before you even run it. Now you guys with out lathes are probably out of luck. I even put better brushes in before I run it.

I agree with freetimecrawler, getting a full seat on the brushes won't make much if any difference in preformance at the RPM we run our motors at.
