Welcome to the club!! Myself and about every other AX10 owner have experienced the same problem.

I'd say the best fix is to get a new set of drive shafts (metal). As soon as I can swing a few extra $$$, that's what I'm gonna do.

No,metal shafts aren't the best option.

Axial now has little rings that slide on the driveshafts and stops this. I switched to stampede shafts W/ metal yokes.

a cheaper alternative to axial's fix is to just get some plumbing parts ( 30 cents each) that will fit over the drive shaft yoke like axial's ring

I have the same shaft set-up on order. Looks to be the better system to run.

Your looking in the right direction.

Guys,if the Pede shafts don't hold up.....put freakin Revo shafts on it and be done with it.

Good idea right there with the revo shafts. Might have to try that.

You think the wheel axles or the center axles would fit better? Dunno if the center ones would be long enough from the revo.

Sup bud! I think the centers are too short! I'm gonna go by LH soon to see what I come up with? Or just might go with the Stampede with the metal yokes for now!

Pedes are the best easiest swap.

With Revo's,it's not the fact that the outputs are to short. They are 5mm,Revo's need 6mm. You can get 6mm adapters from RC4WD. New stainless steel 6mm outputs though eliminate the adapter An 81 tooth spur is the biggest I can run on this rig.

i found a dumb solution or a half way solution for this.

1.take a strip of metal, trim it down to wrap around the shaft, leave a little extra.

2.bend the extra you left to a 90 degree angle.

3. drill a hole the two 90s, then put a screw through it.

you can also use for a disconnect.

rc10 Shock clamps for the spring height adjustment should work for the collar.
