Default Charger - tamiya to deans adaptor ?

I have looked around, and didn't see this one ....

My charger has a "tamiya" connector which I would like to keep for my older stuff - my new batteries ( for my soon to be AX10 ) have "deans" connections...

the question - will a tamiya to deans connector work for just charging the batteries, as it is kind of a trickle charge - or should break in on the lines and solder on a separate wires and deans plug directly ?
( like a y connector - 1 tamiya - 1 deans )

Would the charge be as critical as the "drain" ( connection wise ) ?

thanks for your thoughts

I made a deans to tamiya connector for my charger and it works fine.

They had one at my LHS (Hobbytown USA). In the section with all of the connectors and plugs.

thanks, I am in a "crawler-less" part of the country, everyone runs nitro everything ( even their toothbrushes ) so this is the place for me to get info, I appreciate it !
