Not very well. Just get some JB weld it costs $5 at the hardware store or at an automotive supply ie pepboys, murrys, autozone. You wont be sorry.

I would advise against sticky-tac, or hot-glue. The reason being is that it doesn't lock the diff effectively, nor does it give a smooth limited-slip effect as a fluid would. It'll hold for a bit, and then let go - leaving a big clump of material inbetween the gears that they will have to chew though, causing enough strain to eventually cause damage. If you want a removable option, either get a second set of diffs to lock, or buy a set of lockers.

I started out with silly putty and have gone to Maximizers since then. The putty worked nicely and the lockers work a whole lot better!

If you are looking for a limited slip, I am using silicone ear plugs in mine. So far, it is working very well. But I am going for a bashing/trail truck not a hard core crawler so YMMV.
