if you where going to enter comps or not id go with a combo from holmes hobbies.his mamba max, brushless, and bec combos are cheaper then the goat system and way more tunable in the future if the bug bites you.The mamba max,bec combo will run any motor battery combo you could ever want.cant beat that for less money. the smaller2/3a packs i can get about 45 min thats witha brushed motor and two servos. on a 3300 subc pack i can run for 90min with same set up. i think the brushless setups should run alittle longer.not sure on motor life sorry. if your just playing i think holmes has a quark esc and brushless combo for like 80 bucks Last edited by Rathgar; 01-21-2008 at 07:07 PM. |

I'm also new to r/c but really really like the Novak Goat system so far in my AX-10. I use a Thunder Power LiPo battery and get good run time.
